Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an important role in life and is increasingly replacing many human jobs. Regarding this issue, a reporter from the Lao Dong Newspaper had an interview with Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of Southern Labor Outsourcing and Leasing Services - ManpowerGroup Vietnam.

Reporter: How do you evaluate the recent application of AI by many businesses?

- Mr. NGUYEN XUAN SON: With the development of technology and strong investment from large technology corporations, AI has been helping people synthesize information, analyze big data and provide trends and suggestions to help people make appropriate decisions more easily and quickly. Many jobs in businesses today such as: customer care, marketing, content writing... are very effectively supported by AI. AI can even do better than humans in meeting customer needs. In the field of human resources, many employers have used AI to eliminate a series of CVs (job applications) that are not suitable or have simple errors in style and spelling. In addition, employers also use ChatGPT to find interview questions and predict candidates' answers. On the candidate side, ChatGPT can be used to check or create attractive CVs. Before AI was born, candidates often manually tweaked their CVs to suit each job and position they applied for. This procedure was time-consuming, but now they can do it better and faster thanks to AI.

Can AI replace human jobs in the future?

- Previously, AI was often used to perform traditional jobs, simple, structured and predictable tasks. But with the rapid advancement of technology, AI can now analyze big data, support decision making and automate processes; easily handle complex problems that previously only humans could do. In addition, AI also provides insights by using large data sets to predict some possible outcomes. According to ManpowerGroup's The New Human Age report, more than 80% of businesses have increased their focus on digital transformation after COVID-19, making digital technology considered one of the industries with the most potential for development.

Currently, in many fields, AI has become a powerful tool, bringing many significant benefits in manufacturing - processing; customer service; finance - banking; retail and e-commerce... However, tasks requiring creative thinking ability and flexibility in social communication are still areas where humans are much superior to AI. With continuous development, in the future, AI will continue to progress and perform more complex tasks.

What do workers need to equip themselves with to ensure employment, sir?

- In order not to be replaced, workers need to improve their professional and soft skills, constantly learn, innovate and update new issues in their field of work. People can see AI as a companion, taking full advantage of outstanding features such as the ability to search and analyze big data to increase work efficiency and reduce workers' efforts in many different areas.

The intelligent interaction and collaboration between humans and AI ensures that this technology does not replace but is a powerful support tool to help employees achieve work goals and solve problems quickly and effectively. It is important that humans continue to develop and utilize AI intelligently, accompanying this technology to bring value and useful results to the world .
