What series of infrastructure projects is Dong Nai calling for investment?

(DN) - The Department of Construction has issued notices inviting investors to participate in a series of infrastructure investment projects in the province. Among the projects announced to invite investors to participate, the transport infrastructure sector accounts for a large number.

Looking for investors for a series of projects

According to the announcements of the Department of Construction, the unit was approved by the Provincial People's Committee to carry out promotion and seek investors for projects included in the Dong Nai Province Investment Promotion Conference in 2025 and approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Plan No. 101/KH-UBND dated March 20, 2025 with the list of projects calling for investors in the field of transport infrastructure connection.

In order to carry out its tasks, the Department of Construction has announced the call for investors to participate in investing in a series of projects in the province, including: extending the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to Trang Bom; Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City (phase 1); upgrading and expanding Bui Van Hoa Street, Bien Hoa City; Cat Lai Ferry Replacement Bridge; Dong Nai 2 Bridge; the road from Ma Da Bridge to the intersection with Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City; the elevated road along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to Gate 11 roundabout; Huong Lo 2 extended to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway; Long Khanh City drainage and wastewater treatment; Long Thanh Water Highway; Nhon Trach District drainage and wastewater treatment phase 1, with a capacity of 16,000 m³/day.

Provincial Political - Administrative Center; urban area projects around Nui Le Lake, Xuan Loc District (Urban area around Nui Le Lake); urban area projects, ecological residential areas in subdivisions 6.1; 6.2 and education - training urban areas in subdivisions 3.1, 3.2, Nhon Trach District; Long Thanh Airport urban projects and Long Thanh Service Urban Area projects in Tam An Commune, An Phuoc Commune, Long Thanh District.

Among the projects being promoted to seek investors, the transport infrastructure sector accounts for the largest number with 8 projects. Meanwhile, the water supply, drainage and wastewater treatment sector has 3 projects. In addition, the remaining 6 projects are in the fields of urban and residential area development and construction of the Provincial Political - Administrative Center.

Currently, for the Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City Phase 1 Project through the province, MIK Group Vietnam Corporation is the proposed investor. Meanwhile, for the Elevated Road Project along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to Gate 11 roundabout, Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Corporation is the proposed investor.

Nearly 150 trillion VND investment capital

Among the projects that the Department of Construction has invited investors to participate in, there are currently 11 projects with a total preliminary investment of nearly 150 trillion VND. Of which, the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro Line Extension Project to Trang Bom is the project with the largest total investment of nearly 35 trillion VND. Next is the Ring Road 4 Project - Ho Chi Minh City Phase 1 with a total investment of nearly 25 trillion VND.

Regarding investment forms, the projects include: Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City phase 1; upgrading and expanding Bui Van Hoa Street; Cat Lai ferry replacement bridge; road from Ma Da Bridge to the intersection with Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City; elevated road along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to Gate 11 roundabout; Huong Lo 2 extension to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, which are being invested in under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.

The remaining projects are implemented in various forms with mixed capital sources from public investment, BOT, BT capital, land exploitation, bidding to select investors, etc.
