A series of universities are sprinting to announce their benchmark scores.

(Dan Tri) - On August 19, a series of universities across the country "wound up" to prepare to announce the transfer scores for university admission in 2025.

Dr. Huynh Trung Phong, Director of the Center for Student Support and Startup Development at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, said that the school's virtual filtering department is racing to work hard to determine this year's admission benchmark.

"After completion, the school will announce the benchmark scores according to the schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training on August 20," informed Dr. Huynh Trung Phong.

At this time, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education has not made any predictions about the admission scores, but it is likely that some majors will have admission scores that are on the rise.

This year, the minimum score for admission to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education ranges from 18 to 24 points. Of which, 6 majors continue to have a score of 24 points, including mathematics education, chemistry education, literature education, history education, geography education, and English education.

A representative of Hung Vuong University informed that the school is "sprinting" with virtual filtering to prepare to announce the benchmark scores.

Through this year's virtual screening rounds, it can be seen that some majors are of interest to candidates, and the benchmark score is expected to increase slightly compared to last year, such as languages, marketing, tourism - travel, and psychology.

Other industries are kept at a level that is not too different, safe and suitable for the general level, ensuring a wide opportunity for admission.

In addition, the school has prepared to welcome new students, prepare special admission notices, gifts for new students, a team to introduce accommodation as well as financial support policies for new students to pursue their journey at university.

MSc. Pham Thai Son, Director of Admissions at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, shared that the school is waiting for the Ministry of Education and Training to return the results of the third round, followed by virtual filtering of the group of schools in the South.

After the virtual filtering process and accurate admission results, the school plans to announce the benchmark scores at 6:00 p.m. and admission will begin on August 22.

Mr. Son commented that the benchmark scores for some majors of the school are as high as in 2024 such as logistics, marketing, international business or 0.5 points lower.

For some industries, the benchmark score last year was around 20, this year it increased to 21-22 such as electronics, automation, mechatronics, data science , information security... The remaining industries have the same benchmark score as in 2024.

With more than 178,000 admission applications, this year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade is the school with the largest number of admission applications in the country.

A representative of Vietnam Aviation Academy said the school plans to announce admission scores at 9:00 p.m. on August 20 and start classes on August 22.

However, with initial data, due to the high number of candidates and wishes, the expected benchmark score to enter the school this year will range from 19 to 27 points, last year it was 16 to 26 points. Some majors have benchmark scores that can increase from 4 to the highest level of 6 points.

A representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education said that the school is still running virtual filtering several more times, and currently there is no information or prediction about this year's benchmark scores.

The school also has no specific schedule for announcing scores, expected to be between August 20 and August 22.

In the past 3 years, most of the training majors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education have tended to increase from 0.5 to 4 points.

In 2024, the admission score to this school ranges from 20.5 to 27.5. Of which, English pedagogy has the highest admission score and wood and interior engineering has the lowest admission score.

From 2022 to 2024, the benchmark scores for most majors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education (HCMUTE) will increase by 0.5-4 points.

There are so many fake profiles that up to this point, many schools still cannot make predictions or initial assessments about admission scores.

According to information from the International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University), it may be until the end of today that the school will have basic information about this year's benchmark scores. The school is expected to announce the benchmark scores on the evening of August 20 or August 21.

The large number of fake profiles is also the reason why Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology has not yet made an initial prediction about this year's admission scores. The school plans to announce admission scores on August 21.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, from August 13 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, schools will upload data and admission information of candidates including high school graduation exam scores, results of separate exams, high school study results... on the system and organize admission.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training also processes the system to determine the highest wish among the wishes for which the candidate is eligible to be admitted.

By 5pm on August 20, schools will enter the admission scores and admission results into the common system. After review, the first round of admission scores will have to be announced before 5pm on August 22.

Successful candidates must enroll online on the system before 5:00 p.m. on August 30.

Thus, from the afternoon of August 20, universities can start announcing admission scores. The results of the first round of admission must be announced no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, successful candidates must confirm their admission online on the system. If they do not do so within the deadline, they will be considered to have refused admission.
