Way out for Pogba

After serving a doping ban in March, Paul Pogba is now available to play again.

However, the French midfielder's future remains a big question mark. His goal is clear: find a suitable destination to regain his form and qualify for the 2026 World Cup - a World Cup that will likely be coach Didier Deschamps' last time in charge of the French national team.

According to Foot-Mercato , Pogba has been offered by several intermediaries to AS Monaco - a team that needs to strengthen its squad to prepare for next season's Champions League. This is one of the options Monaco is considering alongside deals such as Ansu Fati (in negotiations with Barcelona) and Sergio Reguilon.

Meanwhile, the possibility of Pogba joining Marseille - which was "hot" in January - was eliminated because the port city team could not meet his financial requirements.

The biggest issue holding Monaco back is Pogba's fitness. He has not played a game since September 2, 2023, after testing positive for doping while playing for Juventus. The Turin club then terminated his contract in January 2025, just two months before the end of his ban.

However, Pogba’s appeal remains huge. With his reputation, top-level experience and desire to return to the national team, he could become an “explosive” signing if he regains his form.
