Long An province collected over 17,200 billion VND in revenue in the first five months, an increase of over 34%.

(Chinhphu.vn) - The total state budget revenue of Long An province in the first five months of 2025 reached VND 17,287.5 billion, equivalent to 71.9% of the central government's projected target and 70.5% of the provincial People's Council's projected target, an increase of 34.1% compared to the same period last year.

On June 24th, the 10th term of the Long An Provincial People's Council held its 26th session, the regular mid-year session of 2025. The Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council participated in the session via online video conferencing.

At the meeting, the report on the socio -economic development situation in the first six months of 2025 by the Long An Provincial People's Committee indicated that the gross regional product (GRDP) growth in the first quarter of the province was estimated at 7.2%.

This is the highest first-quarter economic growth rate for Long An province since 2021.

Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue for the first six months are estimated to have increased by 19.04% compared to the same period last year.

Total import and export turnover for the first six months is estimated to increase by 13.19% compared to the same period last year. Of this, exports are estimated at $4.21 billion, up 15.34% year-on-year, while imports are estimated at $2.63 billion, up 9.9%.

Notably, total state budget revenue for the first five months reached VND 17,287.5 billion, equivalent to 71.9% of the central government's projected target and 70.5% of the provincial People's Council's projected target, representing a 34.1% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the agenda, the 26th session of the Long An Provincial People's Council will consider and approve important contents, such as reviewing and evaluating the reports on the work of the first six months of 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the committees of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuracy, the Provincial Civil Enforcement Department, and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province.

The Long An Provincial People's Council will also review the first six-month reports of the Provincial People's Committee on the socio-economic development situation, public investment, state budget, anti-corruption efforts, crime prevention, law violations, handling of complaints and denunciations, and voter recommendations.

This is the regular mid-year session of 2025 and also the last session of the Long An Provincial People's Council, 10th term, before the Conference summarizing the activities of the Long An Provincial People's Council, 10th term, scheduled to be held on the afternoon of June 27th.
