A key highlight of this business trip is the “Long An – Japan Trade and Investment Promotion Program 2025,” organized by the Long An Provincial People's Committee in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, to be held in Tokyo on March 31, 2025. This is not only a large-scale investment promotion event but also a strategic networking forum between Long An and leading Japanese businesses and corporations. The program will provide a comprehensive overview of the attractive investment environment, development potential, and cooperation opportunities in Long An. With the participation of numerous diplomatic agencies and organizations in Japan, strategic investors, and Japanese businesses, the event promises to create significant progress, open up new cooperation opportunities, boost investment flows into the province, and contribute to making Long An a leading destination for Japanese businesses in Vietnam.
Currently, Long An has received approximately 1,512 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 14.3 billion USD. Of these, Japanese investors account for about 161 projects, with registered investment capital exceeding 1.2 billion USD, ranking fourth in terms of the number of projects and investment capital among the 40 countries and territories investing in the province.
The investment promotion program in Japan is a crucial activity that kicks off Long An province's 2025 investment promotion series, aiming to strengthen economic and trade cooperation and connect the province with Japanese partners. The trip is expected to attract more Japanese investors to explore the market and expand cooperation in high-tech fields, supporting industries, infrastructure development, and especially high-tech agriculture with modern, sustainable production models and advanced technology applications to improve productivity and quality of agricultural products.
