Stemming from a clear awareness of the responsibility of pharmaceutical enterprises in protecting public health, and responding to the Government 's policy on preventing and combating counterfeit and poor quality goods, Long Chau has proactively coordinated with the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control to conduct strict testing of all products that are and will be sold at more than 2,200 pharmacies nationwide.
According to the cooperation agreement, the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Control, the highest level testing unit of the health sector, will periodically or suddenly take product samples from the Long Chau pharmacy system or from suppliers to conduct testing, appraisal and quality certification.
In addition, the two sides also coordinate to carry out activities to evaluate quality management systems according to international standards such as ISO 22000, HACCP, organize research, training, and deploy digital transformation solutions to optimize information management and ensure transparency throughout the supply chain.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cao Son, Deputy Director of the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene, affirmed that through the cooperation agreement, the two units committed to working together in controlling product quality right from the input stage.
Long Chau is a unit with nationwide coverage, not only distributing medicine but also bringing functional foods to consumers. Therefore, quality control is a mandatory and urgent requirement to ensure public health safety."
On Long Chau’s side, Ms. Nguyen Bach Diep, Chairman and General Director of the pharmacy system, shared that the company understands that what people want most when coming to the pharmacy is a sense of security. With more than 2,200 points of sale nationwide, Long Chau is not only a place to provide products but also the first place to rely on when people need health care.
Therefore, proactively cooperating with the Testing Institute - the highest level inspection unit in the health sector is a necessary step. In the coming time, we will continue to improve transparency from product origin, legal documents, to purchase invoices and online platforms. Customers can easily look up, check and give feedback at any time. It is the trust of consumers that motivates us to improve every day.
Through this cooperation, Long Chau implements a “double inspection” mechanism including checking product legal documents according to the provisions of Decree 15 and actual inspection of product quality at pharmacies and from suppliers. Each product is strictly tested before reaching consumers, demonstrating Long Chau’s determination to raise quality standards and supply chain transparency.
Previously, Long Chau also launched the campaign "Transparent origin for a healthy Vietnam" under the direction of the Drug Administration of Vietnam, Ministry of Health. The pharmacy system pioneered in publicly disclosing product information on invoices, websites, applications and integrating the feature of looking up the certificate of registration of functional food product declaration.
Specifically, for functional foods, the system fully displays the product registration number and declaration receipt, a mandatory requirement under Decree 15.
At the same time, information such as ingredients, uses, recommendations, place of manufacture and advertising content confirmation number (if any) are clearly disclosed. For pharmaceutical products, users can easily look up the place of manufacture and drug registration number on the Long Chau website or application and are guided on how to look up directly on the Public Service Portal of the Department of Drug Administration.
With just a few steps on the website https://nhathuoclongchau.com.vn or mobile application, consumers can quickly and accurately look up product information before, during and after purchasing.
This is an important step forward to help Long Chau affirm its role as a pioneer in the retail pharmaceutical industry, while accompanying people on the journey of sustainable health care.
Each qualified product, each strict testing step is a practical action demonstrating Long Chau's dedication to the mission of caring for community health. More than business, this is a journey to accompany the health sector and the people, for a healthier Vietnam every day.
