Selling pressure increased, VN-Index decreased again at the end of the session

The market soon increased by 3 points after a few minutes of opening, but the buyers and sellers were quite balanced, making it impossible for the main index to break out. By the end of the morning session, the VN-Index had turned down, leaving most stocks in the red.

The banking and securities groups, which supported the market in the early session, could not stand firm. However, TPB, MBB,ACB , and MSB codes also increased by around 1%. The bright spot came from the retail sector when MWG increased by 1.08% and FRT increased by 0.11%.

At the end of the morning session on July 19, VN-Index decreased by 407 points, equivalent to 0.32% to 1,270.37 points. The entire floor had 119 stocks increasing and 282 stocks decreasing.

In the afternoon session, the selling side dominated, causing the market to plummet. Red dominated the electronic board.

At the end of the trading session on July 19, VN-Index decreased by 9.66 points, equivalent to 0.76% to 1,264.78 points. The entire floor had 126 stocks increasing, 324 stocks decreasing, and 49 stocks remaining unchanged.

HNX-Index decreased 1.59 points to 240.52 points. The entire floor had 47 stocks increasing, 120 stocks decreasing and 62 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index decreased 0.84 points to 96.78 points.

The chemical group led the market's decline under pressure from the giant GVR, ending the session down 4.3% to VND34,500/share and losing nearly 1.6 points. Other codes in the industry such as AAA, DCM, APH, DPM, DGC, DDV, LAS, DRI also ended the session in red, with QBS falling to the floor.

The banking group witnessed differentiation, but the losing stocks dominated, causing the entire industry to lose 0.34%. On the upside, there were MBB, TPB, ACB, MSB, OCB, LPB, BVB, SSB. On the downside, there were VCB, EIB, SRB,SHB , VPB, TCB, CTG, BID, EVF, VIB.

In the securities group, VIX was negatively affected when it dropped to the floor price of VND15,800/share due to information that profit decreased by 78% to VND123.8 billion. Other codes in the industry such as HCM, VCI, FTS, ORS, CTS, BVS, VIG, AAS, AGR, VFS also decreased. The whole industry had only 5 codes that increased in points: SSI, VND, SHS, MBS, IVS.

Vietnam Airlines ' HVN continued to hit the floor, closing at VND26,150/share and taking away nearly 1.1 points from the market. This week alone, HVN has fallen more than 24% from VND34,450/share to the current level.

The total order matching value in today's session was VND20,640 billion, down 5% compared to yesterday, of which the order matching value on the HoSE floor reached VND18,538 billion. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND9,542 billion.

Foreign investors turned to net sell with a value of 350 billion VND today, of which this group disbursed 1,716 billion VND and sold 2,067 billion VND.

The codes that were sold strongly were FPT 228 billion VND, VHM 159 VND, TCB 105 billion VND, MSN 93 VND, HSG 66 billion VND,... On the contrary, the codes that were mainly bought were SBT 419 billion VND, MWG 177 billion VND, VND 34 billion VND, FUEVFVND fund 27 billion VND, PVS 24 billion VND,...
