In mid-August, under the harsh Central Highlands sun, on the training ground of Battalion 8 (Regiment 95), officers and soldiers were still diligently practicing tactics to fight the enemy in dense forest terrain. The loud commands, the rumbling footsteps, and the enthusiastic training atmosphere reflected the unit's determination and increasingly solid training quality. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Battalion Commander of Battalion 8, said: "Along with closely following the principles and training motto, the unit especially attaches importance to linking training with missions and combat conditions. To do so, the preparation stage must be thorough and comprehensive."

Satisfied with the diligence of the troops, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Ron, Regiment Commander, shared: “The entire unit is competing to train well, practice seriously, and practically to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the unit's Traditional Day. One of the key requirements is that cadres at all levels must regularly follow closely and grasp the troops' training progress, promptly correct and supplement the limited content.”

Colonel Le Sy Hung, Political Commissar of Division 2, inspected Regiment 95 participating in the exercise.

Based on the combat requirements in the area, officers and soldiers of Regiment 95 have been very creative in preparing models and training equipment: Printing decals for shooting targets with colors similar to real targets; designing hidden targets; manufacturing remote-controlled sound-imitation devices to replace rudimentary means... Before each training phase, the Regiment organizes training for officers from non-commissioned officers and above, focusing on weak and difficult stages, and new content that needs to be unified. Lieutenant Colonel Pham Le Van, Political Commissar of Regiment 95, emphasized: "After thorough professional training, the units train in squad, spearhead, and team formations. Officers at all levels always stick to the training ground, inspect, frankly point out limitations, and encourage soldiers to brave the sun and rain, and practice enthusiastically."

Up to now, 100% of the training staff have been classified, of which more than 70% have achieved good and excellent results (30% excellent). Contents such as infantry shooting techniques, live ammunition firepower, combined round drills, training of arms, regulations, expertise... have all achieved good quality. The unit also effectively maintains supporting activities: Armed running, overcoming obstacles, horizontal bars, parallel bars, soccer, volleyball, rattan ball, badminton... contributing to improving the physical strength and endurance of the troops.

Upholding the glorious tradition, the officers and soldiers of Regiment 95 have constantly strived, overcome difficulties, maintained good training, strict discipline, and high combat readiness. For 13 consecutive years (2012-2024), the Regiment has been awarded the Emulation Flag and the title of Determined to Win Unit by the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5. With its outstanding achievements, the unit has also been awarded the Flag of "Excellent Training Unit" by the Ministry of National Defense for 14 consecutive years (2011-2024). On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of its tradition, Regiment 95 was honored to receive the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal.

The success of Regiment 95 today comes from the correct awareness, high will and sense of responsibility of officers and soldiers in promoting tradition, dedicating their talents, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho's soldiers. Sergeant Phu Phi Thuong, Squad Leader of Squad 7, Platoon 3, Company 5, Battalion 8, confided: "I am very proud to be a soldier of the heroic Regiment 95, so I always try to train and complete all tasks well."
