The Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025, taking place from October 16th to 17th, 2025 at the Ariyana International Convention Center in Da Nang, will bring together numerous domestic and international businesses, opening up opportunities for strategic networking and cooperation, contributing to the sustainable growth of tourist arrivals and tourism revenue.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association and Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025, organized by the Da Nang Tourism Association with the theme "Rising and Breaking Through," aims to promote the strong and breakthrough development of the tourism industry in Da Nang city in particular and Vietnam in general. This will strengthen linkages and expand cooperation between domestic and international tourism entities.

The event attracted over 400 sellers, 120 international buyers, 200 domestic buyers, 100 sponsors, and more than 1,000 attendees.

* This is one of the largest B2B (Business to Business) events in Vietnam's tourism industry. Could you tell us how this year's Da Nang International Tourism Festival is being organized?

- On October 16th, the program included key events such as a product exhibition space; the opening of a B2B networking space (for international buyers); thematic seminars; and the 4th Congress of the Da Nang Travel Association.

On October 17th, events included the seminar "Strategies for Attracting the Russian and CIS Markets 2026"; a product exhibition space; a B2B networking space (domestic buyers); a thematic seminar "New Da Nang - Rising and Breaking Through"; and a gala dinner...

The event included a thematic workshop aimed at in-depth exploration of Da Nang's tourism development potential with the theme "Rising and Breaking Through"; a B2B networking space to promote brands, expand markets, and create cooperation opportunities for businesses; and a gala dinner to enhance connection and interaction among businesses, organizations, and individuals within the business community.

We believe that the Da Nang International Tourism Festival will gradually become an annual international event, attracting airlines, travel companies, and many other important partners to Vietnam. The event will not only promote cooperation but also contribute to elevating the national tourism brand on the world tourism map.

* As an annual tourism event, what new and outstanding activities will the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 offer compared to previous years, and what are your expectations after this event?

- This is the first Da Nang International Tourism Festival in the newly merged Da Nang. Therefore, the organization in terms of scale, resources, and activities has been significantly improved and elevated to an international scale.

Although previous events have invited international buyers, the scale was not as large. This one is considered the largest ever, and possibly the largest in the country, in terms of connecting businesses, with an expected 400-450 businesses connecting across all tourism products between buyers from domestic and international travel companies, both online and offline.

Therefore, the biggest difference is that this is the first time it has been held in the newly established city of Da Nang.

Secondly, the scale has been significantly increased compared to before, in terms of the number of buyers and sellers.

Thirdly, there is close coordination between the Da Nang Tourism Association and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This year, the department will preside over several activities within the framework of the festival, especially organizing a seminar on the development of Da Nang tourism in the new era. In addition, there is also the deep involvement of the Vietnam Tourism Association in the program to attract 25 million international tourists.

* In your opinion, after the merger of Quang Nam and Da Nang, what are the opportunities for tourism development in Da Nang? What should the new city of Da Nang focus on to exploit its potential and develop sustainable tourism in the future?

- The merger not only combines the potential of the two localities but also creates a "boost" to elevate Da Nang's status as a national tourism center, with regional and international stature.

In terms of geographical advantages, Da Nang has opened air routes to 27 destinations in 10 countries; has two international airports, Da Nang and Chu Lai; and a high-speed train line from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, with Da Nang serving as an intermediate point.

In terms of modern infrastructure, it includes an international airport, an international seaport, and especially a very high-quality service system.

In particular, merging the Quang Nam and Da Nang tourism associations into a single organization will give them a stronger voice and make it easier to propose policies, investments, joint promotion, and create attractive integrated product packages for tourists. This is an important step in jointly building and developing regional tourism, bringing new values ​​and attracting domestic and international tourists.

In the coming period, both localities and businesses need to prioritize attracting investment, especially in new tourism models such as healing tourism, creative tourism, and MICE tourism (tourism combining leisure with conferences, seminars, and exhibitions)... Simultaneously, tourism products must also be linked to the conservation of natural resources and local culture.

The current challenge for the tourism industry is to integrate resources effectively and avoid waste. This is where a well-structured planning strategy, a long-term vision, and, most importantly, the participation of strategic investors are needed.
