Promote tourism to grow and break through

Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 takes place from October 16 to 17, 2025 at Ariyana International Convention Palace, Da Nang, gathering a large number of domestic and international enterprises, opening up opportunities for connection and strategic cooperation, contributing to promoting sustainable growth of visitors and tourism revenue.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the Da Nang International Tourism Festival 2025 was organized by the Da Nang Tourism Association with the theme "Strengthening and breaking through" to promote the tourism industry of Da Nang city in particular and Vietnam tourism in general to develop strongly and make breakthroughs. From there, strengthen the connection and expand cooperation between units in the domestic and international tourism community.

The fair was attended by more than 400 sellers, 120 international buyers, 200 domestic buyers, 100 sponsors and more than 1,000 attendees.

* This is one of the largest B2B (Business to Business) events in Vietnam's tourism industry. Can you tell us how this year's Da Nang International Tourism Festival is organized?

- On October 16, the program will feature main events such as product display space; opening of B2B connection space (international buyers); specialized seminars; Danang Tourism Association Congress, term IV.

On October 17, events took place such as the Workshop "Strategy to attract the Russian and CIS markets 2026"; product display space; B2B connection space (domestic buyers); Workshop "New Da Nang - rising and breaking through"; Gala dinner...

In particular, the thematic workshop aims to exploit in depth the tourism development potential of the new Da Nang with the theme "Strengthening and breaking through"; B2B connection space to promote brands, expand markets and cooperation opportunities for businesses; Gala dinner to increase connection and exchange between businesses, organizations and individuals in the business community.

We believe that the Da Nang International Tourism Festival will gradually become an annual international event, attracting airlines, travel agencies and many other important partners to Vietnam. The event not only promotes cooperation but also contributes to raising the national tourism brand on the world tourism map.

* As an annual tourism event, what new and outstanding activities will the Danang International Tourism Festival 2025 have compared to before and what do you expect after this event?

- This is the first Da Nang International Tourism Festival of the new Da Nang after the merger of the two localities. Therefore, the organization in terms of scale, resources and activities has been greatly improved and raised to an international scale.

Although the previous times still invited international buyers to participate, the scale was not as large. This time is considered the largest ever and possibly the largest in the country in terms of connecting businesses with each other, it is expected that there will be about 400 - 450 businesses connecting all tourism products between buyers of domestic and foreign travel companies, both online and offline.

So, the biggest difference is that it is the first time the new Da Nang city is organized.

Second, the scale is raised larger than before in terms of the number of buyers and sellers.

Third is the close coordination between the Danang Tourism Association and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This year, the department will host several activities within the framework of the festival, especially organizing a seminar on developing Danang tourism in the new era. In addition, there is also the deep participation of the Vietnam Tourism Association in the program to launch 25 million international visitors.

* In your opinion, after the merger of Quang Nam and Da Nang, what are the opportunities for Da Nang to develop tourism? What should the new Da Nang city pay attention to in order to exploit its potential and develop sustainable tourism in the coming time?

- The merger not only combines the potential of the two localities but also creates a "boost" to elevate the position of Da Nang city to become a national, regional and international tourist center.

In terms of geographical advantages, Da Nang has opened flight routes to 27 destinations in 10 countries; has two international airports, Da Nang and Chu Lai; a high-speed train route from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, with Da Nang as the midpoint.

Regarding modern infrastructure, including international airport, international seaport and especially service system with very high quality.

In particular, the merger of the two tourism associations of Quang Nam and Da Nang into a common organization will have a stronger voice, making it easier to propose policies, invest, promote together and create attractive tourism packages. This is an important step to jointly build and develop regional tourism, bringing new values, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

In the coming time, both localities and businesses need to prioritize calling for investment, especially investment in new tourism models such as healing tourism, creative tourism, MICE tourism (resort tourism combined with conferences, seminars, exhibitions)... At the same time, tourism products must also be linked with the conservation of natural resources and indigenous culture.

The problem of the tourism industry today is to combine resources together, avoiding waste. This is the time to have a systematic planning strategy, long-term vision and especially the participation of strategic investors.
