Malaysia Airlines opens flights to Da Nang

On September 24, flight MH748 from Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia Airlines landed at Da Nang airport, carrying 160 passengers to visit and experience tourism services.

This is the first flight of Malaysia Airlines to Da Nang city.

The city's Department of Tourism organized a welcoming program at the airport with a water-spraying ceremony, welcoming art performances, giving flowers and gifts to the first passengers, and taking souvenir photos.

Malaysia Airlines operates the Kuala Lumpur – Da Nang route with a frequency of 7 flights/week using B737 – 800 aircraft. With the addition of the new airline Malaysia Airlines, the Kuala Lumpur – Da Nang route has a frequency of 28 flights/week.

Mr. Tan Van Vuong - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Department of Tourism - said that Malaysia is always in the top 10 international markets to the city.

Last August, the Da Nang City leadership delegation had a working trip to Malaysia, meeting and working with Malaysia Airlines to promote Da Nang tourism in general and the Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang route in particular.

In the coming time, the tourism industry will continue to coordinate with Malaysia Airlines to organize famtrips, presstrips, and KOLs to experience Da Nang tourism and support communication activities to promote Da Nang to Malaysian tourists.
