"It's best to cancel next season," said a Man Utd fan after the Old Trafford team failed to reach an agreement with Brentford to sign winger Bryan Mbeumo (who scored 20 goals for "The Bees" last season) in this summer's transfer window.

According to The Athletic , although Bryan Mbeumo has agreed personal terms with Man Utd, Brentford's board of directors has rejected two offers from the "Red Devils" for the team's star.
In the latest offer, Man Utd said they were willing to pay £55m upfront with £7.5m in add-ons. However, Brentford still refused to pay £65m for the French midfielder.
Man Utd's offer to pay Brentford just a few million pounds for the 1995-born star has angered many Man Utd fans, as the next season begins in a month.
"It's a shame that many amateur clubs know we are being stingy. Man Utd's summer transfer business is considered a waste," said a disappointed Man Utd fan.
"What the hell is going on? Bryan Mbeumo clearly deserves that money. Just pay," said a second fan.
A third angry fan said: "We are not serious as a top club."
"This is ridiculous. Next season is another waste," another person added.
