Bustling "Tet market in my hometown"
Every time Tet comes, Spring comes, children are often eager, looking forward to new clothes, gifts, and welcoming Spring with their families in warm love and reunion. However, in remote areas, there are still children in difficult circumstances who have not been able to fully enjoy the joy of celebrating Tet.
In order to contribute to bringing Spring to all students, on January 25, Tuoi Tho Kindergarten (Chu Bah commune, Ayun Pa town) organized a performance program to celebrate the Party - celebrate Spring and "Tet market in my hometown". Not only enjoying the exciting performances, the students were also very excited to join in the bustling atmosphere at the Tet market with full stalls: Zui Ze rice rolls, skewers, candy supermarket, 5C milk tea, bakery, Doraemon donuts.
Ms. Rcom H'Mai - Vice Principal of Tuoi Tho Kindergarten said: In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has 195 students, 100% of whom are ethnic minorities. Life is still difficult, so children have few opportunities to experience the atmosphere of going to the Tet market. Therefore, the school's Board of Directors has developed a plan to organize "Tet Market in My Hometown" with the desire to help children feel the joyful atmosphere of Spring and Tet; therebyeducating children about the meaning of the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
In addition to the 7 booths prepared by the classes, the school's Board of Directors coordinated with the K54 Technical Warehouse to organize a 0-dong booth with vegetables, tubers, fruits, candies, new clothes and free haircuts. Besides, there are many display areas, beautifully decorated with peach and apricot trees, fruit trays... for students and parents to experience, explore and check-in as souvenirs. "Although this is the first time the school has organized a Tet market, it has received enthusiastic response from students and parents. This is a great motivation for the school to continue to build plans for the following school years" - Ms. Mai shared.

Having her hair cut, wearing nice clothes, and eating her favorite foods, Nay Tao (4 years old) happily said: “Going to the Tet market is very fun. I like eating candy and drinking milk tea the most”. Nay H'Nhim (Chu Bah B village) - Nay Tao's mother confided: “Coming to the Tet market at school, my daughter and I have the opportunity to experience the bustling Tet shopping atmosphere. The children get to eat delicious food, receive nice clothes, and I get to buy clean, fresh vegetables and fruits for 0 VND. The teachers also help us take beautiful photos together”.
Many meaningful gifts
Along with the Spring Festival activities, many organizations and philanthropists organize charity programs to bring meaningful gifts to children in remote areas. At Son Ca Kindergarten (Po To commune, Ia Pa district), the Tet atmosphere has come to the students since half a month ago when they continuously received gifts full of love.
Accordingly, on January 8, Mr. Vu Van Tung - representative of the Zero-dong Bread Cabinet presented 135 gifts to disadvantaged students at the two schools of Bi Giong and Bi Gia, each gift including 10 kg of rice, new clothes and candy. 4 days later, the school continued to welcome the volunteer group "National Fund" to present 400 gifts and cook snacks for all students of the school. In addition, the group also presented 1 set of outdoor toys to the school and 400 gifts to disadvantaged families in the commune. The total value of the entire program was nearly 300 million VND.
Ms. Hoang Thi Bay - Principal of the school shared: Located in a particularly difficult commune with the majority of students being Bahnar ethnic people, every year the school always receives attention from all levels, sectors and benefactors inside and outside the province, but this is the first time the school has been organized by units to celebrate Tet early and warmly and on a large scale. The gifts given to the students bring them great joy, creating conditions for them to celebrate the traditional Tet joyfully, warmly and full of love.
