Hoan Kiem District People's Committee said that experts are currently testing several lime colors to select the right lime color to ensure maximum authenticity for the project. The current lime color is not the official color of the project.
Regarding the conservation of villa 49 Tran Hung Dao - 46 Hang Bai (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi ) which is in the process of restoration and conservation, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem district said that villa 49 Tran Hung Dao - 46 Hang Bai is part of the model villa conservation project to promote the cultural - historical - architectural heritage value of Hanoi's old quarter.
The old French villa in Hanoi at present time Through this project, basic techniques in the conservation and restoration of some French architectural works will be introduced, thereby raising public awareness of heritage conservation. The project to restore the model villa at 49 Tran Hung Dao (46 Hang Bai) has been researched since 2016, within the framework of cooperation between Hanoi City and the Ile-de-France region, Hoan Kiem district and the International Cooperation Agency of the Ile-de-France region (PRX).
In April 2022, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District started the above project. After 1 year of implementation, the project has now entered the completion stage. During the renovation of the villa, French and Vietnamese experts conducted "archaeological work" to find the original colors, materials and details.
Based on the archaeological results, the group of experts decided to reuse the original color materials as the original construction. Currently, the experts are testing some lime colors to select the right lime color to ensure maximum accuracy for the construction. The current lime color is not the official color of the construction. After completion, Hoan Kiem district will promote the value of the construction to become the Cultural Exchange Center of Hanoi's Old Quarter. This is a convenient place to introduce the history of the formation and development of the old quarter; a place to meet, exchange, and connect scientists , researchers and people to learn and visit the values of cultural - historical - architectural heritage./.
