On the evening of July 3, a source from Giao thong Newspaper confirmed that an Eva Air plane crashed into a lamp post while taxiing on the runway that afternoon. The incident caused part of the plane's left wing to be dented and the lamp post to collapse.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport and related units quickly coordinated to handle the incident. The aircraft that caused the above incident was a Boeing 777 with flight number EVA396 scheduled to depart at 4:34 p.m. the same day from Tan Son Nhat to Taoyuan International Airport ( Taiwan).

The Southern Airport Authority promptly reported the incident to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. Initial information is that the pilot drove the plane to the wrong terminal before taking off. Fortunately, all passengers on the plane were safe after the collision.
