Mbappe has run out of luck at the age of 20

In the summer of 2018, Mbappe and the French team lifted the World Cup in Russia. Just over a month earlier, the French superstar had won a domestic treble with PSG, in his first season with the Parisian club.

It was at that time that the football world immediately assumed that Mbappe would be the successor to Messi and Ronaldo. At that time, Mbappe was only 19 years old.

But seven years later, with just five months left until his 27th birthday, all Mbappe has in his hands is a series of Ligue 1 titles - which are almost worthless if you wear the PSG shirt, and the World Cup trophy.

Having been nominated for the Ballon d'Or for 7 consecutive years, all Mbappe has achieved is the Bronze Ball title in 2023.

The French superstar is even worse than Sadio Mane, Vinicius, Haaland, and Rodri in the Ballon d'Or race in recent years. If it were 7 years ago, fans would probably just see it as a joke.
