Mother went out, leaving her child at home to die

According to NBC News, forensic examination results showed that baby girl Jailyn Candelario suffered from severe dehydration and eventually died in a situation where no one cared for her and in a dirty environment.

There was no sign of trauma to the child. While her daughter was slowly dying at home, the mother went on vacation to Puerto Rico and Detroit, Michigan. Neighbors said they had previously been asked to look after Jailyn while the mother was away, and could not understand why the mother would be so cruel as to leave her alone this time.

In court, defendant Candelario admitted his wrongdoings. At the request of the prosecution, the court set bail for this case at 1 million USD.
