Mother went out, leaving her child at home to die

According to NBC News, forensic examination results showed that baby girl Jailyn Candelario suffered from severe dehydration and eventually died in a situation where no one cared for her and her body was in a dirty environment.

There was no sign of trauma to the child. While her daughter was slowly dying at home, the mother went on vacation to Puerto Rico and Detroit, Michigan. Neighbors said they had previously been asked to look after Jailyn while the mother was away, and they did not understand why the mother would be so cruel as to leave her alone this time.

In court, the defendant Candelario admitted his wrongdoings. At the request of the prosecution, the court set bail for this case at $1 million.
