The cherry blossom season in Japan is quite short, lasting only from late March to April, because the flowers bloom and fade quickly. The time from when the flowers bloom to when they fade is only about 10 days to 2 weeks.

Peaceful scene under the cherry blossoms

Many tour guides who regularly take tourists on cherry blossom tours in Japan say that going on a cherry blossom tour is very exciting, because if you go at the right time when the flowers are blooming but encounter heavy rain or continuous rain for several days, the flowers may fall a lot, and they will no longer be beautiful... Therefore, depending on the weather and climate of each region in Japan, the flowers will bloom at different times.

Peach and rape blossoms create a poetic scene along the riverbank in Shizuoka Prefecture. According to some local guides, this area is mainly visited by locals to see the cherry blossoms, very few tourists come on tours from travel companies so it is quite deserted.

These days, tourists from all over the world flock to Japan to enjoy cherry blossoms. According to travel agencies, Japan is one of the favorite destinations for Vietnamese tourists. With cherry blossoms blooming in the spring in the land of the rising sun, Vietnamese tourists are even more excited to come here.

"Currently, Vietravel has renewed its Japan tours in terms of experience, adding more attractions and entertainment to suit many types of tourists, with reasonable tour prices thanks to strategic cooperation with service providers from airlines, hotels, restaurants..." - Ms. Van Khanh said.

Inside the park of Tsurugajo White Crane Castle, Fukushima Prefecture, visitors can take a walk, enjoy the panoramic view of nature or spread out a carpet to enjoy the view under the cherry blossoms.

One notable point is that with Japan tours, customer demand is always there even though companies do not advertise as much as in other markets. Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Tra, Director of Marketing and Communications, Saigontourist Travel Service Company, said that currently every day the company has groups of customers departing to Japan to explore the cherry blossom season. Although visa application is difficult and there are no cheap prices or promotions like before, customer demand is still high.

"After several years of being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, Vietnamese tourists have just returned to Japan, so demand is high. Customers are waiting for departure dates to register even though tour prices are not cheap due to increased airfares," Ms. Thanh Tra added.
