Lionel Messi has just announced the first youth football tournament called Messi Cup 2025 , bringing together 8 world- famous academies.

The tournament will take place from December 9 to 14 at Inter Miami's Chase Stadium (USA) . The eight U16 teams participating include: Inter Miami, Barcelona, ​​Man City, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, River Plate and Newell's Old Boys . The teams are divided into two groups, playing a round robin to select the first and second teams to advance to the semi-finals.

On his personal page, Messi shared: " Finally I can tell you that in December, a special tournament of promises will come to Miami, with some of the best clubs in the world. Plus there will be many other activities. Hope you like it!".
