According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, a cold air mass is moving southward in the North.

On the night of November 3rd, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region; then it will affect the North Central region, most areas in the Northwest region and some areas in the Central region. Northeast winds inland will strengthen to level 3, and level 4 in coastal areas.

On November 4th, the northeastern region of Vietnam and Thanh Hoa experienced cold weather. From November 5th to 6th, the northern and north-central regions of Vietnam will experience cold weather, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell in the northern and north-central regions will generally range from 17 to 19 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas experiencing temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.

According to the meteorological agency, on the afternoon and evening of November 2nd, the central region will experience localized thunderstorms; the southern Central Highlands and the southern region will have localized heavy to very heavy rain.

From early morning on November 3rd to November 4th, the Ha Tinh - Quang Ngai area experienced moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some areas receiving very heavy rain, with rainfall amounts of 70-150mm, and some areas exceeding 300mm.

Warning of the risk of localized heavy rainfall (>150mm/6h).

On November 4th, the Thanh Hoa - Nghe An area experienced moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some areas receiving very heavy rainfall ranging from 30 to 60mm, and some areas exceeding 90mm.

Notably, on the night of November 4th and throughout November 5th, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai experienced heavy rain, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 70-150mm, and some areas exceeding 300mm. Specifically, from Ha Tinh to Da Nang, rainfall amounts generally ranged from 100-250mm, with some areas exceeding 350mm.

Heavy rain in the central provinces is likely to continue for several days and may extend down to Binh Dinh. Thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Heavy rainfall and localized heavy rain are likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes.

– Hanoi: Partly cloudy, no rain at night, some fog in the early morning, sunny during the day. Northeast wind at level 2-3. Cold at night and in the early morning. Lowest temperature 18-21 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 29-31 degrees Celsius.

– Northwestern region: Cloudy, no rain at night, foggy in some areas in the early morning, sunny during the day, light wind. Cold at night and in the early morning, freezing in some places. Lowest temperature 18-21°C, below 18°C ​​in some places. Highest temperature 28-31°C, above 31°C in some places.

– Northeast region: Partly cloudy, no rain at night, some fog in the early morning, sunny during the day. Northeast wind at level 2-3. Cold at night and in the early morning, some mountainous areas will be freezing. Lowest temperature 18-21 degrees Celsius, some mountainous areas below 18 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 28-31 degrees Celsius, some areas above 31 degrees Celsius.

– Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: Cloudy, in the North (Thanh Hoa – Nghe An) no rain at night, foggy in some areas in the early morning, sunny during the day; in the South (Ha Tinh – Thua Thien Hue) scattered showers and thunderstorms, moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms from near dawn, very heavy rain in some areas.

North to northwest winds, force 2-3. Cold nights in the North. Thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 19-22°C. Highest temperature 27-30°C.

– Da Nang to Binh Thuan: Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the north (Da Nang – Quang Ngai), moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms near dawn, with very heavy rain in some areas. In the south, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in the late afternoon and evening, with heavy rain in some localized areas.

North wind at force 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 22-25°C. Highest temperature 27-30°C, with some areas in the South exceeding 30°C.

– Central Highlands: Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in the afternoon and evening, with localized heavy rain in some places. Light winds. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. Lowest temperature 18-21°C. Highest temperature 26-29°C.

– Southern Vietnam: Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in the afternoon and evening, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places, light winds. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. Lowest temperature 23-26°C. Highest temperature 30-33°C.
