Visa exemption to enter Vietnam for citizens of 12 countries until 2028

Visa exemption regulations for citizens of the following countries have a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry.

The Government has just issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP dated March 7, 2025 on visa exemption for citizens of the following countries: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The Resolution clearly states that visa exemption is granted to citizens of the above countries for a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, on the basis of fully meeting the entry conditions as prescribed by Vietnamese law.

The visa exemption policy for citizens of the above countries entering Vietnam will be implemented from March 15, 2025 to March 14, 2028, and will be considered for extension according to the provisions of Vietnamese law.

Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022 and Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023 of the Government expire from March 15, 2025.
