"Some people say I put my daughter on livestream to "get views"

- Many artists and audiences have a negative view of celebrities and artists livestreaming to sell products. Have you ever encountered such a situation?

I met a lot. At first, when I first livestreamed to share my life with the audience, everyone was quite cheerful and open. But when I started collaborating with online business brands on my personal page, I encountered a lot of sarcastic comments like "Do actors also sell products?", "I thought actors were very rich", and even more so "Just became a little famous and already selling products online...".

My God! If everyone can do business, why can’t artists? I don’t steal or do anything illegal. Everyone needs to make money to build a life for themselves and their families.

Over time, I got used to it and stopped paying attention to such one-sided comments. If I met people who deliberately spoke rudely, I would block them because my channel has many uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters who are loyal audiences and customers. I cannot let a few rude speakers affect my audience.

Moreover, when selling online, I have my own principles when choosing brands and products to cooperate with. Brands must have licenses and safety inspections before I dare to introduce and share with the audience, not that I do it regardless to make money.

In particular, all the products introduced are products that I have used and am using, and on the livestream I also use them directly for the audience to see.

"If everyone can do business, why can't artists?", Minh Cuc shared.

- At first, did it become easy for you to accept the fact that you, as a public figure, had to sell products online and advertise on your personal page?

I have no problem with this. There are many brands that send me invitations to cooperate and I only accept products that are legally recognized and inspected. I always adhere to my principles to ensure my own reputation and bring peace of mind to customers.

- You said you have encountered many cases where people have a negative view of artists selling online. So have you encountered any special situations when livestreaming to sell products?

Oh, so many! There are people who intentionally “ruin” my live, but that number is small. Most of the audience bought out of curiosity, bought because they wanted to support me, and gradually became my “regular” customers.

I am a very easy-going person, many women do not know how to order, I do not hesitate to guide everyone. To give my customers the best price, I set up several sub-accounts, collected many discount codes and then placed orders for everyone.

There are many sisters in Hanoi who want to meet me in person, I am willing to make an appointment. Sisters make an appointment to go out for coffee, "chat" happily. Then when I have not yet responded to all the questions about the product on live, there are customers who are familiar with the product proactively answer for me, advise new customers to help me.

Sometimes, when customers ask about a product, I enthusiastically advise them for half an hour, but they silently leave the live without realizing it. However, many customers don't ask anything but silently place orders because they often watch the live and have faith in me.

Some viewers even know Tu Minh's (Minh Cuc's daughter) schedule because I often let her appear on live, and when it's time, I remind her to make milk for her. The viewers also care about the daily health of the mother and child, whenever they see me tired, they quickly notice and remind me to rest...

Audiences love Tu Minh's presence on livestream sessions.

- Tu Minh has a brain disease and her daily activities are not comfortable. When you bring your daughter to livestream sessions, do you encounter mixed opinions from the audience?

I made videos about my mother and son's life and posted them on my personal pages many times, even before I livestreamed to sell products, so most of the audience is no stranger to this.

During each livestream, I usually let my child lie on the bed behind me while I sit on the floor to introduce products to customers. I do this so that I can look after my child and work at the same time because my child always needs the care of relatives.

Honestly, at first, there were some opinions that I shouldn't put my child on "air", and some people didn't even know my story so they thought I was trying to "attract views".

But when people knew our situation, they liked Tu Minh's presence on live sessions. The interesting thing is that although Tu Minh cannot speak, he is very "nosy", he can interact by babbling in response to people's calls and greetings, when people tease him, he knows and will laugh to join in.

Many times, the audience would rather interact with Tu Minh than talk to me. There were days when I livestreamed elsewhere, and the audience would ask her right away. Some people even teased me that if Tu Minh was there, they would order, or some people said they came to my live just to watch and interact with Tu Minh, not to buy anything.

At first, many people asked for my account number to send gifts to Tu Minh. But I refused, only daring to accept everyone's love and affection because I put my child on live not to attract people's attention or to seek anything.

Now, people have gotten used to it so they don't ask for money anymore, they just send gifts like teddy bears, toys or some clothes for the kids, so I accept them. I am very grateful for the love the audience has shown to me and my kids.

Minh Cuc:

Minh Cuc: "I am very touched by the audience's affection for my mother and I."

I don't put much emphasis on "closing the deal" for billions.

- Many famous people "close deals" worth billions of dong after each livestream session, what is your record?

I don’t care much about how many deals I close. I like customers to come back to me, not just buy once. Luckily, I have a lot of customers coming back to me.

In fact, I cannot “close orders” as much as other artists, the amount of products I sell is only steady every day. I myself am not eager to urge customers to “close orders”, I advise in a friendly manner, based on my experience and understanding of the product.

If the product is not suitable for the customer, I am willing to advise them to reconsider, or even not to buy. Because of that, customers feel more secure and comfortable when watching my livestream.

"I can't "close deals" as much as other artists," Minh Cuc shared.

- Currently, many people still think that artists who sell online are “devalued”, and that only artists who are out of date sell online. What do you think about this?

No, I still perform on stage regularly, film when I have projects, and livestream at night. I think other artists do the same.

Of course, I always prioritize work at the Youth Theater and the film crew. Livestream sales will be arranged at another suitable time.

It’s true that sometimes I get comments asking if I’m no longer an actor, have I quit my job or something. I will respond sincerely, when I have a movie showing, I often “show off” it on social media platforms or on livestreams for the audience.

Thank you for sharing this!
