Paving the way for Quang Ninh's processing and manufacturing industry to participate more deeply in the global value chain

On August 19, at Dong Mai Industrial Park, the factory producing speakers, headphones and smart electronic devices invested by Tonly Vietnam Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd. (under TCL Group, China) will be officially inaugurated and put into operation. This is a large-scale project, promising to create new growth momentum for the processing and manufacturing industry of Quang Ninh province.

The factory produces speakers, headphones and smart electronic devices invested by Tonly Electronics Industries (HK) Limited. The project is deployed in Dong Mai Industrial Park (IP) with the goal of producing speakers, headphones, cameras, consumer electronic products, components, parts, semi-finished products and spare parts of cameras, microphones, wifi modems, smart control devices, water flow testers, etc. The total investment capital is more than 2,100 billion VND.

Construction started in August 2023, after just over a year of construction, the factory has basically been completed and entered the trial operation phase. With a designed capacity of 19 million products per year, the project is expected to create jobs for more than 4,000 workers. This is also Tonly Vietnam's third project in Dong Mai Industrial Park, thereby forming a synchronous production chain, bringing high added value, and at the same time making Dong Mai a major production center of TCL Group in the region.

The production line at the factory is invested synchronously and modernly.

Mr. Feng Qi Lun, General Director of Tonly Vietnam Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd. said: After the second factory comes into operation, the revenue this year is expected to double compared to last year. With expanded production capacity, Tonly Vietnam has attracted more customer groups, diversified products, proactively integrated the production of necessary components and quickly applied modern technology to the production line. This is an important factor helping businesses develop sustainably in Vietnam.

According to calculations, when put into stable operation, the project will bring in revenue of about 600 million USD per year, contributing nearly 100 billion VND to the budget. Mr. Truong Manh Hung, Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, said: Along with this project, in 2025, there will be 12 more projects in the processing and manufacturing industry going into production, contributing to the province's 14% growth target.

Many production steps are carried out on automated lines.

Since the beginning of the term, Quang Ninh 's processing and manufacturing industry has attracted 8.98 billion USD in investment capital, of which 6.74 billion USD is FDI capital. The industry has maintained an average growth rate of over 21% per year, raising its proportion in the province's GRDP structure to 12.83%, an increase of 3% compared to 2020. With these results, the processing and manufacturing industry has become a new growth driver for Quang Ninh's economy.

With large investment scale, high-tech products, outstanding added value, the Project of Factory for manufacturing speakers, headphones and smart electronic devices not only affirms the position of Quang Ninh as an attractive investment destination for large corporations in the world , but also contributes to strongly promoting the development of the processing and manufacturing industry, actively contributing to the overall growth target of the province.
