Can Tho City Industry and Trade Department mobilized 7 tons of rice to support people affected by storms and floods.

On the afternoon of November 27, the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City organized a reception of goods and communication to call on the entire industry to support people affected by natural disasters and floods through the program "Love Bus" to bring food and provisions to help people in localities affected by storms and floods. The program is in response to the call of the City Party Committee, People's Council, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City to participate in supporting people affected by storms and floods.

Mr. Hua Truong Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City, said that in response to the call of the City Party Committee, People's Council, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, the Department of Industry and Trade launched a propaganda movement for civil servants and public employees to join hands to support people affected by storms and floods in many forms: contributing a day's salary, supporting necessities, joining hands in the locality where they live to support in various forms. Mr. Hua Truong Son thanked the organizations, businesses and philanthropists who joined hands with the Department of Industry and Trade to organize "Charity Buses".

Representatives of the city's Department of Industry and Trade, rice-supporting enterprises and transport units took souvenir photos at the departure ceremony of the "Charity Bus".

Mr. Ngo Phu Yen , Deputy Director of Viettel Post Can Tho, said that the first shipment sent by the city's Industry and Trade Department to people in areas affected by storms and floods, the unit supports 100% free of charge and commits to transporting quickly, safely, and delivering to the right recipients.

The first "charity trip" had 7 tons of high-quality rice, worth more than 140 million VND, transferred to support people in Phu Yen province (old) mobilized and contributed by the Mekong Delta Farm and Agricultural Enterprise Association and the Western Safe and Clean Food Company Limited.
