Binh Thuan Ward promotes its potential and strengths to become a key ward, a locomotive for socio-economic development.

On November 27, comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with Binh Thuan ward on leadership, direction, administration and results of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2025; goals, tasks and solutions in 2026. Also working were leaders of provincial departments and branches.

Immediately after being established under Resolution No. 1684 dated June 16, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Tuyen Quang province in 2025, the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Binh Thuan ward directed and established specialized agencies, arranged the organizational apparatus; issued working regulations; directed the development and promulgation of the Resolution of the Ward People's Council on socio-economic development and budget estimates for 2025. The Ward People's Committee issued a Decision assigning socio-economic targets and budget estimates for 2025 to agencies, units and residential groups in the ward to focus on organizing and implementing according to regulations. In 2025, the local industrial production value reached 107% of the assigned plan; average income per capita was estimated at 76 million VND; planted forest area reached 107% of the annual plan; budget revenue reached over 170% of the assigned plan; Maintain and improve the universalization of preschool education for 5-year-old children, universalization of primary education at the right age level 3, universalization of secondary education at level 3. Complete 100% of the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area; the poverty rate of the ward has decreased to 0.74%. Maintain political security and social order and safety in the area. Binh Thuan ward also proposed to the province to allocate resources to invest in further socio-economic development.

At the working session, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved, the shortcomings, limitations and directions, goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2026.

Concluding the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Gia Long acknowledged and commended the efforts and solidarity of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Thuan ward in quickly stabilizing the apparatus and achieving impressive socio-economic results immediately after the merger.

Binh Thuan ward leaders report on socio-economic development, security, order and Party building work

Regarding the tasks for 2026, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: With its position as a gateway ward, Binh Thuan needs to clearly identify its position and potential to strive to become one of the key wards, a locomotive in socio-economic development; continue to review and effectively exploit revenue sources, ensure correct and sufficient collection and nurture sustainable revenue sources. Focus on planning management, urban order, land and environmental protection, building a civilized and modern urban appearance. With the province's industrial park and many projects underway, the ward needs to do a good job of land management, mineral resource exploitation and management; carry out site clearance well to attract more businesses and projects, thereby promoting the ward's socio-economic development.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested: Attracting businesses to invest must pay attention to environmental issues, resolutely not trading the environment for economic growth. Pay attention to creating jobs for workers, especially ethnic minorities. Regarding the proposal of the ward, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the departments and branches to receive, pay attention, advise, and report to the Provincial People's Committee to allocate resources within their capacity to invest in socio-economic development. The Vice Chairman hopes that Binh Thuan ward will continue to promote the achievements, continue to complete socio-economic goals, maintain security, order, and social safety worthy of the trust of the people and the expectations of the province.
