Overview of the Meeting.
Attending the reception were Ms. Doan Thi Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning, China; Mr. Do Nam Trung, Director of the Northeast Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Heads of several departments, branches and sectors of the province.
Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, welcomed Comrade Vi Thao, Chairman of the Guangxi Autonomous Region, to visit and work in Lang Son province, highly appreciating Comrade Vi Thao's first overseas visit after taking on the position of Chairman of the Guangxi Autonomous Region and being elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of China (20th term), demonstrating Guangxi's special respect for its relations with ministries, branches and localities of Vietnam in general, and with Lang Son province in particular.
The Provincial Party Secretary reviewed the positive cooperation achievements between Lang Son and Guangxi in recent times under the direction and orientation of the senior leaders of the two Parties and States of Vietnam and China. The two Provinces and Regions have well implemented the common perceptions reached at the Spring Meeting Program between the Secretaries of the Provincial/Municipal Party Committees of Vietnam and the Secretaries of the Guangxi Region Party Committees, thereby, the cooperation between the two sides has achieved many results, especially the import-export activities through the border gates in the province have been maintained and grown, border trade has become increasingly smooth; cooperation in artificial intelligence, digital economy , building smart border gates, culture and tourism has been promoted.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that 2025 is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations, and also the "Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year", Lang Son and Guangxi have actively and enthusiastically implemented many cooperative exchange activities between Party committees at all levels, provincial authorities, departments, branches, localities and people on both sides of the border. He also expressed his appreciation and desire to further strengthen the friendly cooperative relationship with Guangxi; ready to closely coordinate to effectively implement high-level common perceptions and signed bilateral agreements.
Comrade Vi Thao, Chairman of Guangxi, expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful and respectful reception that Lang Son province had given to the Guangxi delegation. He highly appreciated the Provincial Party Secretary's time spent receiving the delegation, demonstrating Lang Son province's high regard for strengthening and deepening the traditional cooperative and friendly relationship between Lang Son and Guangxi.

The Chairman of Guangxi said that Lang Son and Guangxi have close geographical locations, similar cultures, and a long-standing friendly relationship; under the strategic direction of the senior leaders of the two Parties and two States, cooperation between Lang Son and Guangxi in recent times has achieved many important results in areas such as: connecting infrastructure, transportation; border management; cultural exchange... 2026 is a year of special significance for the two Parties and two States of Vietnam and China. Therefore, Guangxi is ready to closely coordinate with Lang Son to effectively implement the important common perceptions reached between the senior leaders of the two Parties and two States, thereby continuously deepening the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides.
At the same time, the Chairman of Guangxi expressed his wish to welcome the Provincial Party Secretary to visit and work with Guangxi as soon as possible./.
