Provincial delegation attended the 6th Zhejiang International Friendship City Exchange Exhibition and worked in some localities of China

From November 12 to 17, 2025, the delegation of Lang Son province led by Ms. Trinh Tuyet Mai, Director of the Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, along with representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, went to Yiwu city, Zhejiang province, China to attend the 6th Zhejiang International Friendship City Exchange Exhibition, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Foreign Affairs of Lang Son province and the Foreign Affairs Office of Yiwu city on promoting friendship and local cooperation, and visited and surveyed a number of localities in China.

Within the framework of the program of activities in Yiwu city , the Delegation exchanged and worked with the leaders of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yiwu city, and met with a number of local enterprises participating in the Exhibition.

At the working session with Mr. Chu Cao Dan, Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Nghia O City, Ms. Trinh Tuyet Mai respectfully thanked the solemn and thoughtful reception of Nghia O City for the Delegation; reviewed the results of friendly cooperation between the two localities in the past time, introduced an overview of the socio-economic development situation, potential, advantages, current needs to promote international cooperation of Lang Son province; vision, planning and development orientation in the coming years. She expressed her hope that after the two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding on promoting friendly relations, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Lang Son province and the Foreign Affairs Office of Nghia O City will continue to coordinate in researching, advising, proposing practical and effective cooperation contents that can be implemented soon.

Mr. Chu Cao Dan, Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yiwu City, welcomed the delegation to attend activities in Yiwu City and expressed his agreement with the proposals from the Delegation of Lang Son Province. He informed about the potential and advantages of socio-economic development of Yiwu, and proposed 4 areas to promote cooperation including: (1) cross-border logistics; (2) introducing and bringing the province's strong products to the Yiwu market - a highly internationalized market, and vice versa; (3) training young human resources in cross-border e-commerce, international trade, logistics, etc., promoting innovation and entrepreneurship; (4) cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism and arts. He also suggested that the two sides maintain regular exchanges and interactions to promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Then, on November 13, 2025, the Provincial Delegation attended the Opening Ceremony of the 6th Zhejiang International Friendship City Exchange Exhibition. At the Opening Ceremony, Ms. Trinh Tuyet Mai, Director of the Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs signed the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Foreign Affairs of Lang Son Province, Vietnam and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, China on promoting friendly relations and local cooperation" ; visited the Booth at the Import Goods Exhibition, Yiwu International Fair; visited and surveyed the Global Digital Trade Center, Yiwu Commercial City.

At the meeting and working session with the leaders of Kim Long Nghia Thong Cross-Border Supply Chain Services Co. , Ltd. - a leading logistics enterprise in Nghia O, Ms. Trinh Tuyet Mai introduced the potential for developing the logistics industry of the province, especially the advantages of the diverse road and railway border gate system, which is convenient for Chinese enterprises, as well as those of Nghia O city, to explore investment opportunities.

Mr. Kim Huc Phong , General Director of the Company, said that the enterprise has operated a road logistics route directly connecting Nghia O - Huu Nghi international border gate , through cooperation with Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong Joint Stock Company; at the same time, it is researching and implementing a railway logistics route directly connecting Nghia O - Bang Tuong station (Guangxi) and Dong Dang international station (Lang Son). With its potential and experience in the field of trade - import and export, the Company is ready to support bringing agricultural products, food and the province's strengths into the Nghia O market.

Through the exchange, the two sides agreed to jointly research and promote the construction of a Center for introducing and promoting agricultural products, food, culture and promoting investment and trade of the province at the Global Digital Trade Center of Yiwu city .

In addition, the Delegation visited and worked with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Shanghai. Mr. Nguyen The Tung, Consul General of Vietnam in Shanghai received and worked with the Delegation. Here, Ms. Trinh Tuyet Mai informed about the cooperation results between Lang Son and Nghia O and some Chinese localities; summarized the potential and advantages of the province; at the same time requested the Consulate General to continue supporting the connection and promotion of investment and trade between the two sides; introduced and invited Chinese investors and enterprises to explore investment opportunities in Lang Son in potential fields.

Also within the framework of the program, the Delegation visited, surveyed, and learned experiences on tourism development models in localities in Zhejiang province and Shanghai city./.
