Providing support to the people

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Deputy Director of the Institute of Science , Technology and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Vice Chairman in charge of the City Cooperative Union attended and directly gave support to the people.

During this period, the Institute of Science, Technology and Environment gave 39 breeding pigs to 13 poor and near-poor households; and provided animal feed for the first 60 days to the families receiving the breeding pigs. People were also instructed in breeding techniques in a way that is associated with environmental protection.

The activity is within the framework of the program to support production development in the agricultural sector under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction implemented by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance. In addition to supporting livestock, the program also supports 500 kg of HG12 rice seeds to sow 10 hectares of rice according to VietGAP standards along with 12 tons of organic microbial fertilizers, serving the production of the Winter-Spring crop 2025 - 2026. At the same time, support is also provided with 1,100 kg of peanut seeds, 10 tons of organic microbial fertilizers and 2.5 tons of lime to improve the soil. The total value of this support is about 1 billion VND.

Practical support from the Institute of Science, Technology and Environment will help cooperative members stabilize their livelihoods, create jobs and increase their income. This activity is also important in helping people restore their livelihoods after natural disasters and orienting sustainable agricultural development.
