Recently, the technology YouTube channel TheSinza shared a video showing a close-up of the Galaxy Z Fold7 model.
This is a prototype model used for development and molding to produce the finished product, so the model will show the final design of Samsung's upcoming foldable phone.

TheSinza's video shows that the Galaxy Z Fold7 stands out with its ultra-thin design. Even when folded, the product is significantly thinner than the previous Galaxy Z Fold6 version.
TheSinza says the Galaxy Z Fold7 is just 4.5mm thin when unfolded, compared to the 5.6mm thickness of the Galaxy Z Fold6. If this information is accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is even thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung's current thinnest phone at 5.8mm.
When folded, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is 9mm thick, a significant reduction from the 12.1mm thickness of the Galaxy Fold6 when folded.

Samsung has promised that the Galaxy Z Fold7 will be the lightest foldable phone ever, suggesting that the product will also be reduced in weight.
In addition, TheSinza said that the Galaxy Z Fold7 also increased the main screen size to 8.2 inches when expanded, instead of just 7.6 inches like the previous version. The size of the Galaxy Z Fold7's outer screen has also been increased, making the overall size of the product slightly larger.
TheSinza's video also shows that the Galaxy Z Fold7 still retains the vertical triple camera cluster on the back. However, Samsung will change the position of the selfie camera inside the main screen, when the camera will be moved to the right corner of the screen, no longer centered as before.

Many sources said that Samsung will not continue to use under-screen camera technology like the old version but will switch to a traditional punch-hole selfie camera to ensure photo quality.
In terms of configuration, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to use Qualcomm's high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12 or 16GB of RAM, with a maximum storage option of 1TB.
One issue that many people are concerned about is when the Galaxy Z Fold7 has an ultra-thin design, what will the battery capacity of the product be like? Insiders say Samsung will apply artificial intelligence to optimize battery performance based on user habits, helping to extend the battery life of the product.
Samsung holds special event on July 9
Samsung has also sent invitations to the media and technology community to announce a special event that will take place at 9pm on July 9 (Vietnam time).

Samsung did not reveal detailed information about the products that will be launched at this event, but the technology world is sure that this is an opportunity for Samsung to introduce a trio of new generation foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 and a special edition foldable phone called "Ultra" that Samsung revealed earlier this month.
Currently, all information about Samsung's foldable phone series is just speculation. The truth about the product will be revealed after Samsung's special event takes place.
