In Dinh Hoa today, the appearance of transportation infrastructure is changing noticeably day by day, and the lives of the people are improving. Many rural bridges and roads have been built thanks to the concerted efforts and contributions of the local government and people. Ms. Tran Thi Bach Tuyet - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dinh Hoa commune, said that from July 1, 2025 to the present, the commune's Fatherland Front alone has mobilized resources to build 15 bridges, with a total cost of nearly 5 billion VND, and constructed nearly 6km of new rural roads.

Layer after layer of concrete and asphalt were laid, new roads and bridges were built, carrying with them the hopes for development of the government and the people. Only by visiting the remote hamlets of Dinh Hoa commune can one truly understand the aspirations of the people here. For them, the existence of every meter of public road, every bridge connecting the two banks, is their greatest expectation.
At the end of 2025, residents of Thoi Khuong and Thoi Trung hamlets were delighted to have a new bridge spanning the Thoi An canal. The bridge, constructed of reinforced concrete, is sturdy, 30 meters long, 3.5 meters wide, and has a load capacity of 3.5 tons. Agricultural trucks no longer have to take a long detour. Children can now go to school more easily, and residents are no longer separated by the waterway. Walking across the new concrete bridge, Mr. Danh Khen, a resident of Dinh Hoa commune, expressed his joy: “The old bridge, built many years ago, had a narrow, dilapidated surface and an unstable structure, posing a potential traffic safety hazard. People had difficulty crossing, and students' schooling and people's livelihoods were always uncertain. Now that a new, sturdy bridge has been built, people feel much more secure.”
Roads in remote hamlets within Dinh Hoa commune have also been newly constructed, repaired, and expanded. Thu Dong hamlet currently has a large population of ethnic minorities, and the lives of the people are still fraught with difficulties. Previously, transportation was a constant concern for the residents. Narrow, slippery dirt roads during the rainy season made travel difficult. The newly constructed road connecting Thu Dong hamlet with Thanh Hoa 1 hamlet is 4km long and 3.5-4m wide. Many new, spacious houses have sprung up along both sides of the road. Many households with houses along the road have renovated their shops and businesses, hoping that the road will improve their lives.
The completed and operational road has met the expectations of the local people. They are delighted that cars can now travel on it, making transportation and trade easier. "Before, traffic wasn't smooth, and people faced many difficulties in doing business. Now, with many major roads in the area, transportation is convenient, and people can take shortcuts to other hamlets, making buying and selling easier," shared Ms. Thi Lua, a resident of Thanh Hoa 1 hamlet.
Every new road built, every new bridge connecting communities, opens up more opportunities for rural areas to develop, as exemplified by the story of Dinh Hoa commune.
