In the process of receiving applications for ID cards and electronic identification accounts, Can Tho City Police has implemented many solutions to facilitate and shorten the time for people to complete procedures, especially after reorganizing according to the new organizational model. One of the effective methods being applied in many localities, including My Xuyen Ward Police, is to issue queue numbers to reduce the situation of people having to wait or come directly to the headquarters to submit their applications at the same time.

Ms. N. confessed that she worked as a lottery ticket seller around the My Xuyen Ward Police Station. Seeing that there were many people coming to apply for ID cards, Ms. N. arrived early to line up and get a number, and called her relatives to come early to get many numbers with lower ranks. After that, Ms. N. approached people who wanted to get things done quickly and early, suggesting that they exchange their numbers for buying lottery tickets at a higher price than the actual price. Specifically, for each time they exchanged their numbers, people would buy 10 or more lottery tickets, along with a difference of 50,000 to 100,000 VND. My Xuyen Ward Police asked Ms. N. to write a report and make a commitment not to repeat the offense.

Can Tho City Police advise people not to listen to invitations to exchange queue numbers like what Ms. N did. People should not carry out or assist in taking advantage of the exchange and sale of queue numbers for personal gain.
