World Cup-themed tacos are a hit in Mexico.

(HTV) - On the eve of the 2026 World Cup, the football atmosphere is spreading throughout Mexico. Besides the excitement for the biggest sporting event on the planet, a traditional tacos shop in the host country is also attracting a large number of diners and tourists.

The dish's uniqueness lies not only in its flavor but also in its presentation. The restaurant decorates the tacos with red, green, and black food coloring made from vegetables. This color scheme makes the dish visually appealing and embodies the spirit of football.

Cony Aguayo, a restaurant employee, shared: “To cheer on the Mexican national team, we made this taco as a tribute and thank you to the Mexican team and the 2026 World Cup. We often display this taco whenever the team plays so that customers and diners can come and order it.”

Jaime Galvan said that although he had tasted tacos in many places, he still considered the version at this restaurant to be very special. According to him, besides the appealing flavor, the creativity in preparation and presentation has helped the dish become famous in Puebla.

World Cup-themed tacos in Mexico

Each "World Cup tacos" costs between 30 and 50 Mexican pesos (approximately 40,000 to 70,000 Vietnamese dong). In the future, the restaurant plans to create more taco versions inspired by national team jerseys, transforming cuisine into a part of the global football festival.
