Many candidates reported that Ho Chi Minh City Banking University changed the additional admission criteria, causing students to fail the university entrance exam despite having enough or even more points.

KL - a candidate for the 2025 high school graduation exam, using the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography) for admission to Ho Chi Minh City Banking University, said that before registering his wishes, he carefully consulted the criteria and proposals set forth by the school, including the following: Admission combinations with Math and Literature, or Math or Literature must achieve a minimum score of 6 points or higher (on a 10-point scale, for other methods, Math and Literature scores are converted to the corresponding 10-point scale).

After carefully reading the school's admission plan, KL chose the Economic Law major according to his wishes. However, on August 24, he received information that the above criteria had been revised, the school required that for the Law major group, candidates must have a minimum score of 6 or higher in Math and Literature on a 10-point scale.

On the morning of June 28, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University spoke up about this issue. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung, principal, said that after announcing the benchmark scores on August 22, the school received some feedback from candidates through the media about the results being higher than the benchmark scores but not yet receiving admission notices.

The school offers solutions for the Law, Economic Law, Economic Law (partial English) majors, the minimum total admission score is 18 (calculated on a 30-point scale). Subject combinations including Math and Literature, or Math, or Literature must achieve a minimum of 6 points or more on a 10-point scale. For other methods, Math and Literature scores are converted to the corresponding 10-point scale.

Thus, this announcement changes in a direction that is favorable to candidates compared to the previous announcement.

Mr. Trung said that to ensure admission confirmation before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, candidates with questions about the admission results should send information to the admissions department.
