One race - two journeys

At noon on November 16th, at Hung Vuong Square (Bac Lieu Ward), the 4th Ca Mau Marathon - Petro Vietnam Cup, part of the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2025, successfully concluded and awards were presented to the athletes who achieved the best results in each distance.

In the 42km race – the longest distance – the athletes started at 3:00 AM on November 16th, crossing roads in Bac Lieu and Hiep Thanh wards, including sections of the sea dike and wind farms.

This sporting event is organized with the spirit of "one race - two journeys": raising funds for reforestation, land reclamation, disaster response, and awarding scholarships to poor but studious students in the Mekong Delta region.

The powerful spirit of community sportsmanship brought a vibrant and impressive image to the Ca Mau Marathon - Petro Vietnam Cup 2025.

The event attracted over 6,000 athletes, including professional runners and running enthusiasts from both within and outside the country, competing in five distances: 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, and a 2 km race for children as a recreational run. The race took place in Bac Lieu ward and Hiep Thanh ward.

The Ca Mau Marathon - Petro Vietnam Cup 2025 will be held for the first time in the Bac Lieu and Hiep Thanh wards following the province's merger.

This was the largest number of athletes ever organized by Ca Mau province, aiming to become a national-level professional marathon. The event left many impressive and vibrant images, contributing to the spread of the physical fitness and sports movement in the community.
