Authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Colonel Ho Viet Trieu, Director of the Provincial Police, presented Certificates of Commendation to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the rapid investigation and resolution of criminal cases.

In accordance with directives and resolutions on crime prevention and control , the Party Committee and leadership of the Criminal Police Department proactively developed resolutions and plans tailored to the local situation; clearly defining key tasks and implementation solutions. Based on this, they advised the Director of the Provincial Police to issue thousands of directives, focusing on combating various types of crimes and violations of social order laws, especially organized crime, transnational crime, human trafficking, child abuse, and activities related to "loan sharking".
The unit simultaneously implemented effective criminal investigation plans in the new situation, deploying nearly 50 officers and investigators to the grassroots level, contributing to improving the quality of crime investigation and handling right from the local area.
The Criminal Police force has always played a core and leading role in the fight against crime; proactively advising, forecasting the situation, and implementing comprehensive solutions have helped to effectively control the area, preventing the formation of complex hotspots of security and order.
A notable achievement is that from 2019 to the present, the force has advised on the establishment and effective maintenance of Task Force 238 for night patrols. Through this, they have promptly detected and dispersed hundreds of gatherings that posed a risk to security and order; handled many violations, especially those related to drugs, contributing to early and proactive crime prevention.

During peak periods of crime crackdown, especially during the Lunar New Year of 2025, the Criminal Police force demonstrated resourcefulness and courage, coordinating closely with other forces to ensure the security and safety of important targets and events.
Many officers from the Criminal Police Department have been transferred and reinforced to commune-level police forces, contributing to improved effectiveness in combating crime at the grassroots level.
In 2025, the force investigated and uncovered 85 cases involving 196 defendants committing crimes against social order; detected and handled 34 cases involving 570 individuals involved in social vices; initiated legal proceedings in 16 cases with 36 defendants; and imposed administrative penalties on 171 individuals totaling over 485 million VND. The rate of processing crime reports and denunciations reached 94%; the work of apprehending suspects and encouraging them to surrender yielded positive results, with 14 individuals turning themselves in. |
Many particularly serious cases were investigated and solved quickly, creating a positive effect on public opinion. Typical examples include "murder" and "robbery" cases occurring in the area, which were clarified in a short time, leading to the arrest of suspects, recovery of stolen property, and stabilization of the situation.
Notably, the operation to dismantle a group of inter-provincial criminals who exploited the river system for theft and robbery demonstrated the sharpness of the investigative work. Despite using sophisticated methods and constantly moving through multiple areas, the suspects were still detected, arrested, and severely punished according to the law.
The Criminal Police force continues to make its mark by promptly investigating and clarifying many particularly serious cases, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility in protecting the lives and property of the people.
Colonel Chau Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police (center), directly supervises the scene of the extremely serious murder case that occurred in Cai Ngay hamlet, Thanh Tung commune.
A prime example is the murder case that occurred in Cai Ngay hamlet, Thanh Tung commune (on November 6, 2025), which was directly supervised by the provincial police leadership, mobilizing forces for a swift investigation. With the determination to "not let criminals escape," investigative teams quickly deployed, gathered evidence, identified suspects, and promptly clarified the case.
Subsequently, the murder case of a 13-year-old girl in Cai Doi Vam commune (January 3, 2026) was also investigated and handled promptly. Using professional methods, the forces quickly identified the suspect, clarified the events of the case, and contributed to stabilizing public opinion.
The Criminal Police Force, in coordination with the Procuratorate, executed an arrest warrant and conducted a search of the residence of a suspect accused of "intentionally causing injury".
Leaving its mark with victories
With exceptionally outstanding achievements, the Criminal Police force of Ca Mau Provincial Police has been honored with the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; for many consecutive years, they have received the Government 's Emulation Flag and numerous commendations from various levels.
In 2025 alone, 4 collectives and 7 individuals received Certificates of Commendation from the Ministry of Public Security; 1 collective and 2 individuals received commendations from the Provincial People's Committee; and many other collectives and individuals were praised by the Director of the Provincial Public Security Department.
Lieutenant Colonel Phan Buu Kiem, Head of the Criminal Police Department, affirmed: "Building on the glorious 80-year tradition, the unit continues to uphold its determination, proactively grasp the local area, closely manage suspects, promote the application of science, strengthen grassroots investigation, and resolutely attack and suppress crime to the end."
