This season, in the Bay Nui area ( An Giang province), hundreds of flowers are blooming. Worker bees are working hard to build nests and find wild flowers to collect nectar to store.

Mr. Sot, a long-time resident of Cam Mountain, An Hao Commune, Tinh Bien Town, in the Bay Nui region (An Giang Province) said that honey bees usually build nests on tall, secluded, ancient trees where no one passes by.

For a long time, Cam Mountain, An Hao Commune, Tinh Bien Town (An Giang Province) has been known as the roof of the plain (716 m high), covered with countless forest trees. This place is the ideal "home" for wild bees to build nests, collect nectar, and reproduce.

Mr. Sot said that in the Cam Mountain and Ba Doi Om Mountain areas of the Bay Nui region of An Giang province, there are usually 3 types of bees that produce honey, including: honey bees, bees and fly bees. Honey bees often make nests in trees or under large rocks. At this time, wild bees diligently collect honey to store.

The beehive is as big as a winnowing basket, people call it honey bee, they are very smart and very aggressive. If the person who goes to the forest to "hunt" honey bees is "exposed", it will be very dangerous.

Mr. Sot said that once they discover someone disturbing the hive, the bees will fly in and "attack" them. Cows that are free to graze in the forest and accidentally encounter a hive of wild bees are often "attacked" and swollen.

The rocky cavities on the deserted mountains are ideal places for bees to build their nests. In particular, large rocks are the places that bees like to build their nests, because they provide a safe place to avoid the rain and sun.

In harsh natural environments, bees know how to survive. The swarm of wild bees in the picture is very clever, when choosing a large rock to build a nest hanging down, at first glance it looks very much like a "stalactite" in nature.

Honey bee nests look very docile up close. But if disturbed they can be very aggressive.

When the young bees mature, they will find another place to hide, leaving behind the very large wax nest.

While honey bees build nests as big as a winnowing basket, bees build nests that are smaller. According to folklore, bees have a more delicious and valuable source of honey. Bees often build nests on tree trunks or in hidden bushes to avoid being eaten by birds and animals.

However, recently honey bees have been over-hunted for their honey. Exploitation of honey bees without conservation awareness will lead to the extinction of wild bee populations in the wild.

The source of honey bees is becoming increasingly scarce, so people have come up with ways to protect and lure bees home to build nests to collect honey. This source of honey is of no less quality than natural honey.

High quality farmed honey cakes are harvested by local people every year. Hopefully, the people of Bay Nui area (An Giang province) will continue to raise awareness of protecting wild bee colonies to reproduce and produce honey.
