A square in Saint Petersburg (Russia) is named after President Ho Chi Minh.

On March 11, Governor of the second largest city in the Russian Federation Saint Petersburg Aleksandr Beglov signed a decree naming “Ho Chi Minh” for a square in the north of the city.

The city's Landmarks Commission approved the decree on December 12, 2024, and on March 11, Governor Alexander Beglov signed the decree into law.

Accordingly, the anonymous square at "Enlightenment" Avenue, house number 15, Vyborg district will from now on be named Ho Chi Minh Square, the name of the great leader of the Vietnamese revolution, also the name of the twin city of Saint Petersburg.

The square is located next to Ho Chi Minh Street, named in 1978, and next to the Ho Chi Minh Monument, which was inaugurated in 2023 on the 100th anniversary of Uncle Ho's arrival in Russia.

Thus, in Saint Petersburg, from now on there is a complex named after the first President of Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh Street, Ho Chi Minh Square and Ho Chi Minh Monument.
