MSB announces the implementation of Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP on protection and processing of personal data

Dear Customers, MSB respectfully announces the implementation of Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP on Personal Data Protection (“Decree 13”) of the Government issued on April 17, 2023 and effective from July 1 , 2023. With the aim of implementing and complying with the provisions on Personal Data protection of Decree 13, Maritime Bank Vietnam (“MSB”) respectfully sends to Customers the Notice on Processing and Protection of Personal Data (“Notification Letter”) together with the Terms and Conditions on Personal Data Protection to explain transparently how MSB processes Personal Data that we are permitted to collect from Customers ; including but not limited to the purpose and manner in which we collect, store, share and use Personal Data to ensure that such information is always private and secure, in accordance with the provisions of law and to protect the rights of the parties. Details of the Notice Letter attached to the Terms and Conditions on the processing and protection of Personal Data can be found here . Customers are requested to read the terms and conditions in the Notice Letter and the Terms and Conditions on Personal Data Protection and go to the nearest MSB transaction location to complete the signing of the "Agreement" confirmation at the end of the Terms and Conditions on Personal Data Protection and return it to us as evidence of the "Agreement". Customers are requested to bring their identification documents (valid ID card/citizen identification card/passport) for MSB staff to authenticate, photocopy and save together with the Notice Letter and the Terms and Conditions on Personal Data Protection. If for any reason, the Customer has not signed the “Consent” confirmation after receiving this notice, MSB understands that the Customer has no objection to MSB processing Personal Data according to the Notice Letter and the Terms and Conditions on Personal Data Protection . If MSB assesses that the extension or delay in signing the “Consent” confirmation is at risk of causing a violation of the law or causing damage to MSB, MSB will have the right to suspend or unilaterally terminate the transaction(s) being conducted with the Customer at any time until the Customer completes the signing of the “Consent” confirmation. If any Customer is also the Legal Representative of an institutional customer at MSB, please sign the “Consent” confirmation on both the Notice Letter and the Terms and Conditions on Personal Data Protection. At the same time, MSB is responsible for promptly notifying about online confirmation methods and/or amendments/supplements according to the agreed communication forms and/or posting on MSB's website at https://msb.com.vn .
