During the second half of last season, while on loan at Betis, Antony regained his form, helping the Spanish club reach the Conference League final.
This summer, the Brazilian star wanted to return to Betis, but the negotiations dragged on, at times reaching a deadlock.

However, The Athletic has just confirmed that the two clubs have finally reached an agreement for Antony's transfer.
MU agreed to a fee of just €25 million (£22 million). However, they will receive a clause entitling them to 50% of any profit from a future resale of Antony to another club.
Furthermore, MU will not have to compensate for the salary difference, as Betis will be fully responsible for providing financial support to the Brazilian striker.
This means MU will be able to significantly reduce their wage bill, as Antony's salary at Old Trafford was £6 million per year.
This move has resolved the deadlock in the deal, as just two days earlier, Real Betis announced they were withdrawing their offer to MU due to insufficient funds.
