In 2025, police academies will recruit 2,350 students, while approximately 23,000 candidates applied for admission to these schools, a record high.

These schools all follow a common admissions process as regulated by the Ministry of Public Security , which differs from that of civilian universities.

Accordingly, the Police Academy will recruit students using the following methods: a combination of scores from the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam and high school graduation exam results; direct admission for students who have won national and international awards according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Public Security; and a combination of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam results and international foreign language certificates.
