Images of the rice fields have gone viral on many social media platforms. The sprawling rice paddies, divided by small irrigation ditches, create an incredibly picturesque scene.
Located approximately 30 km southwest of Vung Tau city center, An Nhut rice paddies are one of the most beautiful rice paddies in Vietnam, covering an area of over 2,000 hectares. From Ho Chi Minh City, take the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, then turn right onto National Highway 51. Instead of continuing straight to Vung Tau, you will turn towards Long Dien district, heading towards An Nhut commune. The coordinates of this rice paddies have been updated on Google Maps, so you can easily find them.
Take road D.55 to An Nhứt bridge and then turn onto this road. This is the road that's currently "going viral" on social media – the best place to watch the sunset and take photos. The 2.3 km long paved road, crossing rice fields, cost a total of 10.3 billion VND and was completed just before the Lunar New Year of the Dragon. The project is part of the new rural development program, funded by the budgets of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and Long Dien district.
Depending on the time of year, the rice fields will be adorned with different colors. Currently, it is the rice harvest season, so the entire An Nhứt rice field is ablaze with golden hues.
The vibrant golden rice fields, the rich aroma of ripening rice, the scent of straw mingled with the smell of drying mud, captivate countless tourists.
The sunnier the weather, the more vibrant and beautiful the ripening rice fields look in photos, so young people don't mind the heat and are willing to check in at the rice fields right in the middle of the day.
No need for an elaborate outfit... just relax and enjoy the scent of ripening rice, and you can have poetic photos like these.
Even though the fields have been harvested, the thousands of dry straw mounds still create a beautiful scene.
Striking dramatic poses next to haystacks is also a fun idea.
There's also a moderately tall tree here that netizens call the "lonely tree." Countless "muses" have posed under its canopy, and countless beautiful photos have been taken.
The An Nhứt rice fields have officially been added to the map of super hot check-in spots for young people on weekends.
A small note: An Nhứt commune is not a well-known tourist destination, so there aren't many services or shops there yet. After experiencing the rice fields, visitors can head to National Highway 55 near Dat Do town to enjoy the "specialty" of Long Dien district: banh hoi nem nuong (rice vermicelli with grilled pork skewers).
