The U.S. War Department on May 22 (local time) released the second batch of declassified documents related to Unidentified Anomalies (UAPs), as requested by President Donald Trump. According to Reuters, UAP is the term used by U.S. officials for UFOs.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the documents, which include texts, images, and videos about the UAPs that have been the subject of much speculation, are now available for the American people to see for themselves.
The latest release includes 50 videos and numerous files, including direct testimonies from civilians and military personnel about phantom sightings. One file contains 116 pages of documents relating to a series of phantom sighting reports and investigations at a top-secret facility in Sandia, New Mexico, between 1948 and 1950.
According to The Guardian, a 2019 video from the Middle East, "likely recorded by an infrared sensor on a US military device," shows three unidentified objects flying in formation over the Persian Gulf. Another group of four objects was also seen flying past ships in waters off Iran in a 2022 video.
Meanwhile, footage recorded in Syria in 2021 shows a mysterious object hurtling along at a speed described as similar to the hyperinstantaneous acceleration often seen in science fiction films.
"This document includes 209 sightings of 'green spheres, flying saucers, and fireballs' near military bases," the Pentagon revealed. However, similar to the previous announcement on May 8, there is no evidence to suggest that these objects originated from outside Earth.
Observers are continuing to analyze the documents in the second release. The U.S. War Department said that since its launch on May 8, the UAP document release website has recorded more than 1 billion visits globally, indicating unprecedented interest in the subject.
