After a 5-0 win over Myanmar, the Thai futsal team is certain to advance with 6 points. The Chinese team is at the bottom of the table, with no points (lost 2 matches) and is certain to be eliminated.
The remaining quarter-final spot in Group A is a contest between the Vietnamese futsal team and Myanmar. In theory, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team have the advantage and the right to decide.
The Vietnamese futsal team currently has 4 points, 3 points more than Myanmar. In the final match, Pham Duc Hoa and his teammates do not lose to host Thailand, which is certain to win the right to continue. If they win, the Vietnamese futsal team will even take the top spot from the host team.
However, winning points against Thailand is not a simple task. The team from the land of the golden pagodas is ranked in the top 4 in Asia.

If the Myanmar futsal team does not beat the Chinese team, the Vietnamese team will definitely advance regardless of the result of the match with Thailand.
If the Myanmar futsal team wins and the Vietnam futsal team loses, the team that advances will be determined by comparing goal difference.
Currently, the goal difference of the Vietnam team is +1 (2 goals, 1 loss), while Myanmar's is -5 (1 goal, 6 losses).
In case the Vietnam and Myanmar futsal teams have the same points and goal difference, the organizing committee will consider the rankings based on the criteria of the number of goals scored by each team in the group stage, disciplinary points (yellow card is 1 point, direct and indirect red cards are 3 points, first yellow card and later direct red card are 4 points), and draw lots.
The final matches of Group A will take place simultaneously at 6pm on April 21. The Vietnamese futsal team has participated in the last two Futsal World Cup finals. Coach Diego Giustozzi and his players are determined to get a ticket to Uzbekistan at the end of this year.
