This afternoon, while visiting Linh Son Pagoda on Cao Cat Mountain, some tourists discovered a dead man on the brick floor at the foot of the statue of Bodhisattva Guan Yin at the top of Cao Cat, Long Hai Commune.
The body was about 1.7 m tall, slightly thin, fair skinned, with black hair cut in a crew cut, and was wearing a gray short-sleeved T-shirt. During a preliminary autopsy, local police determined that the carotid artery in the victim's neck had been cut by a sharp object, with a wound longer than 10 cm, and that the victim had lost a lot of blood, leading to death.
This person is not a local, he may be a tourist from the mainland. Currently, the authorities cannot determine whether the victim committed suicide or was murdered. Tomorrow, professional units from the mainland will go to the island to conduct a forensic examination, in coordination with the Phu Quy District Police to investigate the case.
56 nautical miles southeast of Phan Thiet, Phu Quy Island with its many beautiful and pristine landscapes is a destination that attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to visit and relax by boat.
