The new school year in Truong Sa.

Four schools on Vietnam's Truong Sa archipelago – Truong Sa Primary School, Song Tu Tay Primary School, Da Tay A Primary School, and Sinh Ton Island Primary School – have begun the new school year along with millions of students nationwide.

At Truong Sa Primary School, under the golden September sun, teachers, parents, soldiers, and students stood solemnly during the flag-raising ceremony. As the school bell rang, the children's innocent eyes lit up, and they excitedly entered their classrooms, beginning the new school year with their first lesson: "Love the Fatherland - Preserve the sovereignty of our seas and islands."

The school principal solemnly outlined the tasks for the 2025-2026 school year, emphasizing the aspiration of the soldiers and civilians of Truong Sa to rise up and join the whole country in embarking on a new journey.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone ( Khanh Hoa province), Can Ngoc Son, shared: "Besides general curriculum knowledge, students here are also instilled with patriotism and a sense of responsibility towards the homeland's seas and islands. Truong Sa not only teaches literacy but also instills in the children pride and the sacred mission of being a Vietnamese citizen."

Teacher Nguyen Huu Phu shared: "We will teach the children with all our love for the sea and islands. The first lesson will always be to love the homeland and preserve the sovereignty of the sea and islands left by our ancestors."

At Da Tay A Primary School, students received books, notebooks, and school supplies from the soldiers. These small gifts, though modest, are filled with heartfelt sentiment and provide encouragement for the children to stand firm in the face of adversity.

At Sinh Ton Primary School, after the flag-raising ceremony, the island's leaders presented gifts to the children, and the young soldiers brought songs and dances to the schoolyard, sharing in the joy of the opening ceremony.

The children's clear, joyful laughter blended with the rhythm of the waves, warming the entire seascape of the island.
