New school year in Truong Sa

Four schools on Vietnam's Truong Sa archipelago, including Truong Sa Primary School, Song Tu Tay Primary School, Da Tay A Primary School, and Sinh Ton Island Primary School, have entered the new school year with millions of students across the country.

At Truong Sa Primary School, under the golden sunshine of September, teachers, parents, officers, soldiers and students stood solemnly in the flag-saluting ceremony. When the school drum sounded, the children's clear eyes lit up, and they excitedly entered the classroom, starting the new school year with the first lesson: "Love the Fatherland - maintain sovereignty over the sea and islands".

The school principal solemnly presented the tasks for the 2025-2026 school year, emphasizing the aspirations of the people and soldiers of Truong Sa to step forward together with the whole country to enter a new journey.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa Special Zone ( Khanh Hoa Province) Can Ngoc Son shared: "In addition to the general curriculum, students here are also nurtured with patriotism and a sense of responsibility for their homeland's sea and islands. Truong Sa not only teaches literacy but also teaches students pride and the sacred mission of Vietnamese citizens."

Teacher Nguyen Huu Phu confided: "We will teach you with all our love for the sea and islands. The first lesson is always to love the Fatherland and preserve the sovereignty of the sea and islands left by our ancestors."

At Da Tay A Primary School, students received books and school supplies from soldiers. The gifts were small but meaningful, giving them the strength to stand firm at the forefront.

At Sinh Ton Primary School, after the flag-raising ceremony, the island leaders gave gifts to the children. The young soldiers brought songs and dances to the school yard, joining in the joy of the opening ceremony.

The children's clear laughter mixed with the waves, warming the entire sky and sea.
