Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities has just announced regular university enrollment in 2025, accordingly, up to 16 majors will no longer be recruited using the traditional C00 block combination.

In 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University , Hanoi ) will enroll students in 3 ways:

- Method 1: Direct admission and priority admission according to current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training ;

- Method 2: Consider the valid results of the Hanoi National University's Competency Assessment (HSA) exam;

- Method 3: Consider the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

This year, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities uses the following admission combinations for the following majors:

Thus, compared to previous years, in 2025, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities will no longer use the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography) in admission to many majors, including: Journalism; Social work; Oriental studies; Korean studies; Management science; Public relations; Information management; Tourism and travel services management; Hotel management; Office management; International studies; Psychology; Information - Library; Cultural studies; Vietnamese studies; Sociology.

This information confused many candidates when it was announced close to the time of the high school graduation exam and university entrance exam.

In 2025, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities will enroll 2,650 full-time university students.

Regarding tuition fees, the school plans to collect fees for quality-tested training programs according to the technical economic standards project and the tuition fee increase roadmap for the following school years will not exceed 10% compared to previous school years.

The remaining training programs will be collected according to the provisions of Decree 97/2023/ND-CP stipulating the mechanism for collecting and managing tuition fees for educational institutions in the national education system and policies on tuition exemption, reduction, and support for learning costs; service prices in the field of education and training with expected tuition fees for the QH-2025-X course.

Previously, two universities completely eliminated block C00 in the 2025 enrollment period: the Academy of Journalism and Communication and the University of Law - Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The Academy of Journalism and Communication not only eliminated the admission test for the combination of literature - history - geography but also eliminated the admission test for geography in all training majors. The school divided the majors into 4 groups, each group considering a certain number of combinations. Specifically: Group 1 is Journalism - Publishing, considering 4 combinations: Literature - English - math; Literature - English - economic and legal education; Literature - English - information technology; Literature - English - history. In which, Literature is calculated with a coefficient of 2.

Group 2 is Philosophy - Political Science, recruiting from 4 groups: literature - math - English; literature - math - IT; literature - math - history; literature - math - economic and legal education.

Group 3 is History, recruiting from 4 combinations: literature - history - English; literature - history - math; literature - history - information technology; literature - history - economic and legal education. In which history has a coefficient of 2.

Group 4 is the fields of communication - advertising - public relations - international relations, recruiting 4 combinations: literature - English - math; literature - English - information technology; literature - English - economic and legal education; literature - English - history. In which English has a coefficient of 2.

Similarly, the method of considering high school graduation exam scores of the University of Law (Hanoi National University) does not consider the C00 and A00 groups. This school considers 6 groups: C03 (math, literature, history), A07 (math, history, geography), A01 (math, physics, English), D01 (math, literature, English), D14 (literature, history, English) and D15 (literature, geography, English).

On the contrary, Hanoi Medical University is entering its second year of recruiting block C00 for Psychology, a new major opened by the school from 2024.
