The image of Nguyen Duy Khang, a business administration student at Hung Vuong University in Ho Chi Minh City, bursting into tears on the graduation stage moved many people. Those tears were not only of joy but also the crystallization of a journey to overcome illness and anxiety.
Before the final exam, the decisive milestone to complete the program, Khang suddenly fell ill and had to be hospitalized for more than a month. He could not attend the exam with his friends, which meant the risk of delaying his graduation, losing the opportunity to witness the moment he stepped onto the stage with his parents.
"There were times when I thought it was too late, I would have to wait a few more months or a year...", Khang confided.

But thanks to the teachers' flexibility and dedication, the school created conditions for Khang to retake the exam in the next round. With constant effort, Khang passed the exam and was able to register for graduation at the "last minute".
Just when he thought he was safe, another unexpected incident occurred. Although he had registered all his relatives to attend the ceremony, Khang himself... forgot to register himself to be called by name and receive his diploma.
Only 12 hours before graduation, he was shocked to realize the mistake and quickly contacted the school with the faint hope of receiving support.
And then, the teachers quickly helped Khang complete the final procedures once again. The moment he stepped onto the stage, in his bachelor's gown, amidst the applause of his friends and the proud eyes of his parents below the stage, was the moment when all his youth and efforts seemed to be rewarded.

Nguyen Duy Khang shared: “The most difficult thing for me was not the exam, but the treatment period and the psychological pressure because I thought I would miss the opportunity. But luckily, I did not give up. I chose to believe in myself, believe in the support of teachers and school."
Khang's student life ended with a tight hug and words of encouragement from his teacher on the graduation podium, the warm, loving arms of his parents, and tears of joy, not because of failure but because the journey to reach his dream finally came true.
“To have today, it is thanks to the support and help from family, friends, teachers and school. Thank you everyone for always being by my side, both in the happy moments and the most difficult times. Thank you for everything,” Duy Khang said.

Mentioning Nguyen Duy Khang, MSc. Lam Pham Nhu An, Deputy Head of the Department of Business Administration, remembers a student with an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspiring spirit. Right from the first days of school, Khang left his mark with his enthusiasm in movement activities, from the faculty level to the school level.
The lecturer commented that Duy Khang not only participated in the movement, but also knew how to balance between studying, working part-time and contributing to group activities. There were days when class ended late, but she still saw him taking advantage of the opportunity to "run shows" to work part-time to help his family.
“With a bright smile, sincerity and positive attitude, Khang is always loved by friends and teachers. Looking at him, I see a spirit of constant effort,” shared MSc. Nhu An.

The teacher added that when they heard that Khang had serious health problems, many people were worried that the student would have to stop studying and abandon the bachelor's degree he had worked hard for for 4 years. Until one day, she received a text message: "Teacher, I'm fine!"
The moment she read that message, MSc. Nhu An could not hide her emotions, both happy and choked up. The message came right on the occasion of the next exam. Without hesitation, she immediately contacted to support the male student to complete the final race to end his unfinished university journey with his own resilience and courage.
“Thank you, my little student, for teaching me a great lesson about perseverance, faith and dreams. No matter how challenging life is, as long as you don’t give up, your dreams can come true,” shared Master. Lam Pham Nhu An.
