For many Vietnamese users, simple scooters are only suitable for urban areas when driving smoothly, smoothly, and economically. However, when driving on long roads, especially climbing passes, going downhill... they are considered unsuitable, always posing many potential safety risks. However, the new generation Yamaha NVX 155 just launched in Vietnam has proven the opposite: a scooter can also conquer mountainous terrain with safety, stability and excitement.
Sporty appearance, clear R-Series DNA
The new Yamaha NVX 155 2025 has a bold, sporty design. The front mask is redesigned with sharp dual LED headlights, combined with LED position lights and turn signals. At the back is a new, slimmer taillight cluster, also using LED, bringing a modern look and strong personality.

The body is slim yet sturdy, with sharp lines inspired by the R-Series. Details such as the sport exhaust, hidden grips, and large-displacement style separate turn signals all create an unmistakable appearance.
Smooth, exciting driving experience
NVX 155 2025 is equipped with a 155cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled Blue Core engine, integrated with VVA variable valve technology. This engine block produces 15.4 horsepower and 14.2 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm.
Although the parameters are similar to the previous generation, the surprising point is the new YECVT transmission system of the Yamaha NVX 155 2025, making the vehicle accelerate strongly, operate smoothly and save fuel much more than the previous generation.

In particular, the car is equipped with 2 driving modes - T (Town) for city driving and S (Sport) for a sporty experience. The mode switch is conveniently located near the left brake lever. In addition, the new Shift button on the control cluster allows adjusting the acceleration response level: low - medium - high, very useful when accelerating, going uphill or downhill.
On short downhill roads, the driver does not need to use the brakes much thanks to the ability to hold the vehicle down similar to a manual transmission vehicle. For the first time, the driver can feel that a scooter can control the speed downhill so effectively - a feeling not unlike the regenerative braking of an electric car. Even when carrying two people, the vehicle maintains a stable, safe speed without having to continuously accelerate or brake.

Notably, the engine is also equipped with a hydraulic camshaft tensioner, which helps maintain precise valve clearance, reduces noise, increases durability, and reduces maintenance needs.
The new generation NVX uses an improved frame, 30mm diameter front forks, rear forks with oil tanks, and especially large tires 140/70 R14 rear, 110/80 R14 front - helping to grip the road well, corner firmly and stably at high speeds. You can feel confident when cornering, even on hairpin bends on the Northwest mountain passes, thanks to the large wheels and solid center of gravity.
Equipped with modern and convenient technology
The 4.2-inch TFT screen displays beautifully with 3 modes: Standard - Dynamic - Sport, integrated navigation and phone connection via Y-Connect. Front and rear ABS disc brakes, first appearing on the rear wheel of the NVX line, enhance control.
Traction Control System (TCS) – prevents wheels from spinning when accelerating suddenly or driving on wet terrain. Smart Key, smart stop/start, full LED lights, convenient USB-A charging port, and even a large storage compartment... are extremely useful utilities for users in modern lifestyles.

According to actual testing on the Hanoi - Tam Dao journey of about 80 km, the Yamaha NVX 155 2025 carrying two people up the pass, the consumption only fluctuated between 2.7 - 2.8 liters / 100 km. Compared to the standard published level of 2.2 liters / 100 km, this number shows the commendable efficiency of the new engine and transmission system.
Yamaha NVX 2025 is currently officially distributed in Vietnam with 3 versions: Standard: 56.6 million VND, SP (high-end): 68 million VND, GP (special racing sticker): 69 million VND.
Compared to the previous generation, the two high-end NVX 155 versions have a slight price increase of 1-2 million VND. However, with the addition of a series of features such as YECVT, Y-Shift, TFT screen, dual driving mode, this increase is completely reasonable.

Compared to the Honda Air Blade 160 (priced from 56 to 58 million VND), the NVX 2025 is slightly more expensive but is superior in technology, equipment, and sporty driving feel. Compared to the Honda SH, which is a high-end scooter, the NVX has many features that the SH does not have, such as optional driving modes, Y-Shift, or the ability to adjust the screen interface. Obviously, not many people take a scooter like the SH on a long-distance trip, because the Honda model was born only for city driving, not suitable for long-distance trips like the NVX.
Yamaha NVX 2025 is not for the majority, but it is very suitable for those who know what they need. This is not simply a sporty scooter to help young people "go to work in the morning on the street, return to the suburbs in the afternoon", but it also helps those who are passionate about "traveling", love speed, like personality and are not afraid to be different, NVX 2025 is an extremely worthy choice to consider.
