Specifically, this male student's 3 subjects in group A, Math, Physics, and Chemistry, in the 2025 high school graduation exam all scored 10.

Sharing with VietNamNet on the morning of July 16, Duy Phong said he was very happy and proud of the results he achieved.

Regarding the perfect score, Phong was not too surprised because he had hoped to get a perfect score after comparing the exam answers.

Previously, this male student was also the valedictorian of the 2025 Hanoi National University Competency Assessment Exam with 130/150 points.

Not only that, Duy Phong also passed the Thinking Assessment exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology with a score in the top 4 nationwide.

Nguyen Duy Phong (12A5 student at Chuong My A High School, Hanoi) is one of the valedictorians of block A in 2025.

According to Duy Phong, to get good results, you have to spend time focusing on reviewing, and also try doing sample questions to understand the question format.

The male student said that the HSA test is different from the high school graduation exam in that there are not many difficult application questions, but it requires candidates to review more extensive content. The time pressure is also very high. "For example, the Mathematics and Data Processing section has 50 questions but only takes 75 minutes, on average candidates solve each question in 1.5 minutes. The time frame of the high school graduation exam is more flexible for candidates," the male student said.

In addition to solid knowledge, according to Phong, one of the factors that helped him achieve good results was preparing his mind so as not to be too stressed when taking the exam. “Keeping a stable and calm mind in the exam room is very important, especially in the Aptitude Test with great time pressure, only about one and a half minutes per question.”

Phong’s strategy is to focus on doing the easy questions first, as quickly as possible, at the beginning of the exam. Then, he spends time thinking and solving the more difficult questions. “This helps me gain more confidence and stay calm when facing difficult questions,” Phong said.

Talking about his learning methods, Phong said that in addition to paying attention to the teacher's lectures, he often studies in groups to easily discuss and ask questions about the parts he is weak at. At home, he takes the time to do exercises and supplement the parts of knowledge he often makes mistakes in.

When doing the test, the male student tries to get familiar with and remember the types of questions he has done so that when he encounters them in the test, he can immediately "reveal" the answer or solution.

The male student said that he studies all subjects fairly well. He does not study too late every day and usually goes to bed at 11pm. However, before going to school every night, Phong sets goals for the homework he needs to complete and is highly determined to do it.

The male student believes that, not only in studying but in everything, to get good results, there is no other way but to try your best. “Luck is something we cannot expect or control. But I think if we keep trying, luck will come,” Phong said.

After stressful study hours, Phong often watches clips on YouTube and social networks. In his free afternoons, he still spends time watching E- sports .

Thus, the Hanoi male student has achieved his goal of getting the best score in his high school graduation exam. Currently, Phong is considering enrolling in a major related to control and automation engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology or the University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
