Improve the quality and effectiveness of press support activities after the merger

On November 21, in Lam Vien ward - Da Lat (Lam Dong province), the Vietnam Journalists Association held a conference "Improving the quality and effectiveness of supporting press activities and the Association's work in the context of mergers and consolidation".

At the conference, delegates presented many opinions and discussions revolving around the content of the press activities in the context of mergers and consolidation of local newspapers and radio stations. Topics on investigation and multimedia adaptation in the digital age also received many opinions.

In which, Journalist Nguyen Tan Phong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, presented a speech on "Improving the effectiveness of membership work and professional quality at local Journalists Associations after the merger"; Journalist Tran Thi Phuong Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Journalists Association, gave a speech on the topic "Improving the effectiveness of the Association's work in the context of mergers and consolidations - a specific story in Ha Tinh"...

Speaking at the conference, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh said that the policy of merging and consolidating administrative units and streamlining the apparatus is a key political task, requiring the synchronous participation of the entire political system, including the Journalists Association and press agencies. The conference is an opportunity to share good experiences, models of editorial management, content development, digital transformation and solutions to stabilize the psychology and protect the legitimate and legal rights of journalists.

According to the Vietnam Journalists Association, the specific, practical, and highly feasible recommendations and solutions at the conference will be compiled to submit to competent authorities. These solutions aim to strengthen the organization, legal status, and legal status of the Journalists Association at all levels; perfect specific financial mechanisms and policies for press agencies, and support the Journalists Association after mergers and consolidations to ensure sufficient resources necessary to build a professional, humane, and modern revolutionary press.
